Hey everyone. I just got my first BWB order in today. I was lucky enough to catch the RY4 when it was available last week. Now I know everyone says steep, steep, steep with this stuff. I was wondering...there is a taste in it right now that reminds me of perfume. Its much like the taste that I got in AVE's Blend 4 that made me hate it. I think perfume...but perhaps thats what other people are calling a chemically taste? Maybe? Is this gonna go away with steeping time?

I definitely taste a hint of deliciousness in this but I really can't taste much of anything right now because I'm in a taste bud malfunction phase. When I opened the Ry4 I smelled it and got worried because it smelled like the perfumey Blend 4 I had.

I'm not an expert on tobacco juices, I don't vape them. But I do fill my mothers cartos everyday and test them.

Yes, it does change a lot with steeping and it also gets very dark. To me (a non-tobacco vapor) it's very similiar to the Casablanca without the nuttiness. I can't tell you how long it needs to steep because I got it from a member here so it was already steeped when she got it. Her casablanca needs to steep a couple weeks.

I too find that some BWB juices need to steep for a while, at least a week, before the flavors really mesh. Applewood, for example, has a nearly overwhelming peppery bite until it's steeped; then it mellows out and is delightful. To me the 555 and 555 Exotic both taste like Lemon Pledge at first and need at least 2 weeks to steep before the nutty/tobacco flavor comes out. For me (unlike swedishfish) I find Casablanca a delight from the get go. It's my all time favorite vape (yes, I'm a fangirl).

I knew it got better with steeping I was just wondering about that taste and smell that I'm getting thats reminding me of perfume...But I think I've figured it out. I'm an idiot. It's tobacco. I've thought there was something wrong with my AVE's Blend 4 and another juice I had...Puresmoker's Nashville's Finest but it's just a specific tobacco flavor that a few different vendors use and BWB Ry4 has a very similar tasting tobacco in it. It's just a really strong flavor but what from what I've seen in reviews and read here after a while the tobacco becomes a little less pronounced and the caramels and vanillas start coming out to blend together with it and create magic. So we'll see what happens :)

The perfume scent/flavor is an indication that the juice was freshly made most of the time IMO Just let it sit for a few weeks and try it again.

I've honestly haven't even opened the bottle of mine yet and it's already been a while. But, I have had this experience with some other juices that I've bought from BWB which had a weird aftertaste at first. Which put me off and I left it alone for 3 weeks before coming back to it. It really helped since the taste that I had before was gone and the flavor really came out. Which made for an enjoyable vaping experience.

I actually disliked BWB RY4 the first time I tried it. I thought there was some flavor that was a bit too pungent and really put me off. I didn't touch it again for about a month. It's waaaayyyyyy better now. Give it a few weeks and that taste will go away.

(If not, the classifieds will take it from you at cost, I'm certain. :p)

That perfume taste. I know I thought it was the Ejoker that got in my passthrough some how. Its Eucolypyus (sp?)! Thats what I taste. Its overwelming in the ejoker but Im sure it will mellow over time and meld. Thats what BWB juices do.
Yes definetly Eucolyptus. Reminds me of when I was a kid and Mom would drag me to antique stores and not cool antiques mind you. No muskets or haunted looking things just lace, porcilin and efeminate victorian crap! They always smelled that way. Some ancient oily eucolyptus wreath with dust stuck to it. I would be so board. It was worse then the fabric store.
Anyway as you can see i have a bit of a negitive reinforcment reaction to eucolyptus. So they will steep. Good thing I got a big ol btl of Maple tobaco and some Blubacko still left. If you have not had the Blubaco you are missing out on one of vapings finer things.

Yeah thats definitely the taste I'm talking about. It reminds me of my grandmothers house or something. I hated Blend 4 because it tasted like nothing but that. The RY4 has alot of that right now but I can taste hints of other things underneath it that seem absolutely delicious. I guess I'll know when my taste buds go back to normal.
