After reading Q's vertical build (which I'll have to try next) I got a bit confused. Q's build uses wicking material fairly long and tucked down into the cup. I recall earlier recommendations (I think they may have been Yankeebobo's) which advised keeping the wicks very short barely extending beyond the edge of the cup.
How can both work well?
I'm still having trouble with Q's V build but that is only because I can't seem to keep the air hole open. Yankee's short tails works best so far for me and keeping the coil higher in the cup.

I had to take the pipe off the bottom of the sink to get it back. And this is when I found out the last plumber do a mickey mouse job on things so I couldn't put things back together so tomorrow I have someone come and fix the pipe.
