Has any found a supplier or company that has tobacco e-juice like or very similar to MFS Turbosmog, Tall Paul, or Red Luck?

The change in color is normal as the e liquid leaves resins on the coil as it heats up. When you refill, the resins from the prior liquid that is stuck on the wick, merge with the liquid. You can avoid that by changing wick and dry burning.
Some liquids are famous for gunking up the coils more than others. :)

That's what I've been doing, changing wicks everyday or every other day. It's a PITA. I have to change coils around every 3 days due to the sweetener in my juice and that's a bigger PITA because half the time I break the ceramic cup. I need a stock pile of those. Don't get me wrong. I love my Sophia's but they are requiring a lot of rebuilding time. It's probably my DIY juice but it's my all day juice and don't like anything else. There's nothing better than a Sophia with a fresh setup and full tank of fresh juice. That's why I put up with the back wash.

No worries! Just sharing information :D
You can try dry-burning your coil with a torch or even a torch-lighter. It will raise the lifespan of your coil :)

Do we just get this spacer at a hardware store and what size do we ask for? :)

I'll dig out my caliper to do some measurement 12 hours from now.
I've just came back from some 10km(6.2 miles) walk to avalon vapour with some juice, now my feet is killing me ...>_<...
As Bill have mention, they are spacer for computer board. I found them in my junk box.

The whole idea is that to push out insulator instead of putting the force on the center pole(sorry Bill, you will be selling a few less center pole lol)
You need not buy them... any sort of hard hollow tube, or drill a hole in a chopstick that fit the inner diameter of the Sofia's base will works the same.

This is what I've been doing, shorter tails, larger higher coil, fully open juice control (high vg). My only problem now is consistently getting the right wick density. It's hit n miss but it's easier to remove some wick than to put more in. ;)

After priming the wick, test fire with just the base and see if there's any red...
When too less wick, meaning not all the heating element is touching the coil will result with burning taste.

Too much wick will lower the flow, result with you wick burning to half in the coil.

If the coil and wick is touching the bottom of the ceramic cup, it'll gurgle and you'll get wet tip.

I've went thru all the mistake myself :-(

Bill, you should really consider writing a troubleshooting FAQ on you website ;-\

We are writing tons of information in the new site. It is just that it is a heavy flash based site, with LOTS of individual modules and it is taking forever :(

Billie....you need a link to your site in your signature...no?

I used to, together with other helpful links, but one by one the admins removed them for some reason and I didn't put them again to avoid pissing them off any further.
But, since you brought it up and I had forgotten about it, I'll ask for details right now :)

Good to see you again Yank. Hope all is well there.

All is well. I work for a state University. We can all joke about state workers. Well the funding in everything seemed to have occurred at the same time. So now if course everyone wants it all done right now.
