Any estimate of the price you're thinking of charging for the replacement glass tanks?

This Calix has me excited and I'm thinking of taking the annoying time to post my KF4 up for sale to then buy this!

The price for the replacement tubes will be 12 euros including the SS rings :)

And - man would it be awesome to have either a nice rundown on page 1 of this thread, or a separate thread for each flagship device in the portfolio.

Qorax - feel like slapping that together? Haha

I asked the forum admins but they won't let me have more than one thread :(

Perfect price. I was "hoping" for 10 euros, but that was very wishful thinking . 12 is quite fair. I'm waiting for those to come in before I think about placing any orders so I don't have to order twice. Will just be a matter of whether I buy one replacement or two. Would be two if I'm really banking on this being my all day vape going forward.

Is the glass (quartz?) pretty durable though? Of course you'll likely say yes... Haha. But I'm hoping it's more durable than the gamete of devices out there with glass in them that shatter on a sneeze - haha.

Ah - this is understandable being a vendor and all.. One of us will need to step up and make some ourselves - haha. If my 2 year old daughter can give me a night off, maybe I'd think about it - haha.

I'm liking what I'm seeing about the device and obviously the customer service so far as well.

One sophia version. two major tube lengths. 35/45mm. Think standard tank and xl tank length. Then tubes that also have a built in drip tip end.

The only difference I know of is the length of the top part of the Sofia. There's a short top one (35mm) that will sit flush with the top of your tank, and is good if you want to keep a short profile. The longer top (45mm) sticks out about 9mm past the top of the tank. The only way you'll know that is to look in the ordering box and it'll let you choose the 'Length'.

Here you go. I was thinking about that but thought I could do the same thing with regular/short length plus a STR driptip

We use quartz glass, which is the hardest glass in tubes in the market. It is harder than Pyrex (borosilicate) tubes, because it is made by melting natural quartz crystals, instead of silica and boron trioxide :)

Excellent - thanks much! I do know of quartz glass mainly from its rumored (maybe) eventual use in smartphones and of course all nicer watches should already mostly use quartz as well, due to its scratch resistance. This of course adds to the quality of the Calix.

*Edit - watches can also use Sapphire of course.

I hate to admit, but I would love a poly tank option! Couldn't be too terribly hard to do, if you just copy the assembled glass + stainless - right?

Well said Stan!

1) Make a Poly tank. Make it the stock tank on the atty. And price it less(er).
2) Then add the Glass tank as an optional purchase at an extra price.

I don't know. I like the quartz tank right out of the gate :D It's a great price as it already is :D The reason I immediately bought it was it had a glass tank. I think if anything he should offer a lesser value like a Calix light or something. But the price is reasonable as it is IMHO:2c:

It's not the price ~ it's about the poly tank option. There are an equal no. of folks around who like acrylic tanks over glass tanks.

Yeah, the price seemed more than reasonable to me, especially for something different than other gear on the market.

I'm vaping it as I type this (well, I set it on my lap for the moment ) and I continue to like it more everyday

I didn't realize people had that big of a preference. As long as it isn't prone to cracking from certain juices, I figured glass or otherwise, I'll be happy.

More folks don't vape tank crackers than those who do. And more folks drop (or topple over) their gears than we think.

Heck I don't have a single glass tanked atty left, every one of them has been broken! today I don't buy any atty which only comes in a glass mode, and the ones that come with both (e.g. K4) I switch over to it's acrylic mode straight out of the box.

Oh ok, I forgot about the durability issue of glass. In terms of that, definitely makes sense.
