Oh ok, I forgot about the durability issue of glass. In terms of that, definitely makes sense.

So much so that I believe attys should 'only' be made, and sold, in acrylic or metal. Their glass option should always be, ah yes, an option!

There's nothing more pathetic than having to use something else and watch your superbly performing (and prolly your most loved) atty sitting idle, b'coz you broke its tank. Heck maybe both its glass tanks ~ I did.

More folks don't vape tank crackers than those who do. And more folks drop (or topple over) their gears than we think.

Heck I don't have a single glass tanked atty left, every one of them has been broken! today I don't buy any atty which only comes in a glass mode, and the ones that come with both (e.g. K4) I switch over to it's acrylic mode straight out of the box.

I leave my acrylic in the box and run for the glass  I don't have any tank crackers. I just love the look and the clean taste of the glass. :D I don't want to even say this....cause soon as I do I will drop an atomizer. But I have never lost any of my tanks to dropping or any other accidents. I was like Dems, I didn't have a clue people drop their stuffs. I use holders in the car and in the house for my mod. If I drink I shift over to an all steel tank atomizer, just in case by some freak chance, I may drop something. I did drop a ceramic cup for my rose and that's about it :) With that being said a plastic/metal option, would be a nice addition to an already perfect tank :)

I think I bought the Calix because it has a quartz tank. Well, there's also the juice control, AFC, top fill, overall quality and design, customer service ... but the quartz tank was probably the clincher. I don't use tank crackers, I just like the 'quality' feel of the glass.

Having said that, if both a quartz and a poly spare tank became available, I would buy both. I survive quite well with my SS tanks, but I do like being able to see the juice level.

I am glass all the way and all my tanks have been converted, I just love the look and my menthols taste clean. Only ones I have broken have been during cleaning and maintenance. User error. Never (touch Wood) have I lost one attached to a tank.

We are getting ready for plexiglass tubes and SS as well, but we are going to look for poly as well since it seems it's popular. We are always open to suggestions and we won't hesitate to make them reality if they are plausable and fit our products :)
The reason we started with glass is because when we started a tank with plexiglass, people said they prefered something more durable (and non-cracking) and when we made SS tubes, people said they wanted to see the liquid, so the only logical solution was the hardest glass we could find, considering that I've also been asked countless times for the dimentions of tanks so the tube can be replaced with glass, even if it is only 1mm thick. Also, the amount of orders showed that the majority of vapers prefer glass, but that doesn't mean we will rest there. We just had to start with the option that has more "followers".
We are doing our best to please everyone :)

Bille, I don't know what grade Makrolon Svoemesto uses, but whatever they use is the best in my experience. There tanks are not only strong and acidic juice resistant, but the fine threads maintain there integrity really well. I know it's just a trade name for a poly tank, but there are diff grades or levels they manuf and SM did it right.

I really don't know, but I don't think there is any plastic that can be made into a tube that can hold tank cracking juices for long, as we had a very long test run with our chemists with nearly every plastic on the market. But, as I said, we didn't plan to stay just with the glass tubes from the get-go
But of course, if there is a new technology I didn't have the chance to notice, fill me in and I will look into it asap. :)

Hmmmm, how about a glass tank with some sort of metal sleeve tank protector thingy?

We wanted to make it like the Cage at first, with an SS sleeve, but not only would the price would go up a fair amount, we also couldn't fit it on a 22mm diameter :(

You know more about it than I do, I was just giving my real world experience my friend. I searched for info, a lot available online, but I'm not educated in this area and don't understand the testing. Personally, much prefer the look and feel of glass. I would rather buy extra glass tanks, it isn't cracking unless I misshandle.

You would have to be a contortionist to please everyone.

I am more than happy to buy stock standard tanks if I can find a supplier/vendor for any other options that take my fancy. I was lucky I found a local science glass guy that cut me tubes for most of them. (he retired so no more) my menthols/eucalyptus and hubby's citrus liquids do really nasty things to non glass tubes so it's easier not to try.

Excellent response! I'm very very very excited to hear they're in the works. I think you have a winning product going all the way here. As soon as those spare tanks come in, I'll be placing my order for the Calix and at least one spare quartz tank. Then another order when you get the poly or plexiglass option. Haha. Hopefully before summer when I'll be working around the house outside and camping/etc.

Again - excellent response and so happy they're in the works!
Funnily enough, I *do* use those rubber vape bands! lol
Scared to think how many more I'd crack without them. [emoji50]

I use those too! But since I started using little pocket knife type sleeves like the below, it's hard to slide them or fit them with the bands:
