How can i find the c rating of a 650mah standard ego battery?

The problem is that there is the eGo, and the ego, and the Ego, and the EGO, and they are not all created equal.
Since you asked about the ego (it's a clone of the eGo), I can assure you that they used the cheapest battery cell that they could find. (probably a C rating of about 2)

Unless you purchased from an authorized distributor, you probably have a clone. There are three well known manufacturers of EGO type devises (that I am aware of).

1. Kangertech Ego
2. Vision Spinner
3. joyetech EVOD

The problem is that the clones look identical to the real deal. The amp limitation on most EGO type of batteries (clone and original) is anywhere between 2A and 2.5A.

So I think I should be fine with a 1.8-2.0 ohm coil because my battery says it's 4.2v fully charged, am I working this out correctly?

So if I'm working this out correctly my battery outputs 4.2v to 3.3v depending on charge, so if I go with a 2.0ohm coil it will give out a current of 2.1. Sorry I'm a noob so just trying to make sure I'm understanding all this correctly

Depends on who made the battery. Some are regulated (3.4v), and some are unregulated (4.2-3.3v)

Thank you, I'll just take it as a unregulated battery and then I should be safe, it's only for a few weeks anyway
