I'm using the E-Go C Twst with my Mini Vivi Nova and I've gotten the 12% VG for most of my juices. I'm using the 2.4ohm head at about 4.0-4.2volts. I'm noticing some good vapor and good flavor (a little more muted than the stardust carto but no leaking so I prefer it) but I'm finding that when it gets down to the halfway point between 1.0ml and 1.5ml the juice starts to darken and it starts getting a burnt taste.

Is it just the case we have to keep the mini nova full, or do I need to use a thinner juice? Any suggestions?

I'm fairly new to the cleanable carts so I JUST did my first dry burn I hope I did it right. I was using the 2.4ohm one but my 1.8 was dry so washed the rest of the parts and dried them and then put on my 1.8 head and took off the silicone top to see the coil, I held the button for 3 seconds let it cool for another 3 and then pressed the button again and saw the orange coils. I also wiped down the inside of the battery and around the coils and dried them. So what I'm gathering I should do a dry burn every say 2 or 3 days? It's vaping like a champ right now just like it was when it was out of the box. Clean flavor and lots of vapor.

How long should heads last if treated this way? I want to know how long I should expect them to last so I can have them stocked up.

Thanks for the advice guys. I'm having some great vaping experience since joining.

How is the replaceable vision should I give it a go? Also have you guys tried the Kanger?

I have zero experience at dry burning but I have seen others mention it...I'll defer to them.

For me... have always cleaned my heads, tanks, mouthpieces etc with 91% Isopropyl alcohol (first aid aisle).
I used a little glass ramakin (small corning ware cup). I tear everything down & blot off excess juice with a paper towel. Soak all the parts in the alcohol for a bit & go after them with a q-tip. The heads take a bit to soak good...10-15 min depending on how dark they are.

The 91% dries fast but we have spares to use...I just let everything air dry on a paper towel.

To be honest with you...I have never had a head burn out. After a few cleanings they just aren't "fresh" anymore & seem to get that "burn taste" faster. I retire a few "emergency" cleaned ones to a drawer just incase. The heads are cheap compared to a new device so I never feel bad having 5 or more on hand & popping in a fresh one when the flavor is nasty.

I have read a lot of posts to NEVER use rubbing alcohol- not good for lungs. Use 150 proof vodka if you must use something. I only use hot water. I agree that I replace mine when they just start to taste bad- others recoil them- I prefer just to throw them away. They can last a long time or not, just like a clearo or Nova- hard to determine a specific time frame. After spending $6+ per day on analogs, I try not to get too OCD about the replacement heads, etc, lol. I always make sure to have extras in all areas of what may be needed.

Thanks for the video kitty, that was really helpful.

I was wondering if it was dependent on the head MPage and there was no particular rhyme or reason to it dying. So far my first one is doing great so I'm pretty satisfied. The dry burn did wonders.

I agree, between this and spending atleast $5 a day on a pack (more some days) I am more than happy to buy replacement heads :D.

I have heard PGA as well but i'll be damned if I am wasting everclear on cleaning heads. That stuff makes great apple pie moonshine :)

It's funny when someone walks into my bathroom and sees a bottle of EverClear sitting on the counter! Not exactly what you'd expect in the bathroom! Really funny though!

It really works well to clean all the parts (drip tips, silicone caps etc)... just don't soak the wick heads for too long because it sorta breaks down the fibers in the wicking material and makes them really soft. They also get more likely to just break right off and shred which happens every time I clean and dry burn. It drives me crazy but I wouldn't use anything other than the EverClear (PGA) to thoroughly clean everything.

Desert... maybe we'll have to get your recipe for the Apple Pie Moonshine!!

Where do you get your EverClear?.

At the liquor store. I know... i thought it was crazy too and didn't want to spend $20ish just to clean my vaping supplies but glad i did.

I actually halfway fill a shot glass and put parts in it. Learned there's much less waste of kinda pricey alcohol that way. It came to me from good authority and some long time vapers through their own experimentation. Also i'd rather use an alcohol you can drink vs one you can't.

Applepie Moonshine

1 gallon apple cider
1 gallon apple juice
1 1/2 cups white sugar
1 cups brown sugar
8 or 9 cinnamon sticks (I like one in each mason jar...that's how I serve it)
1 liter bottle of 190 proof moonshine or grain alcohol (Everclear)

Directions
In a large stock pot, combine the apple cider, apple juice, sugar, and cinnamon sticks. Bring it to a boil, then take it off the heat and allow it to COOL. Add the liter of high proof liquor. Pour this into mason jars, put the lids on, and let it mellow out. You could drink it right away, but it does get better after a couple of weeks. Add an apple slice & cinnamon stick garnish & serve.

Makes about 9 quarts of apple pie moonshine. Careful...it is so delicious but it will sneek right up on you!
