Since 1st July 2020....I am new

I actually had a puff of cig some months ago not that I wanted but cause I wanted to remind myself the difference and I couldn't do more than 2 puffs of cig...soooo it's doesn't count!!!! :p

There is no way I am going back to cigs even if they ban vaping I will figure it out and vape or quit everything...

I am so NOT proud to post this (but have to be honest) I have been vaping for 2 years, but have "slipped" a few times. Nothing but vape over 8 months (was very proud of that) but on/off with smoking since then ( you did ask) Feel free to tell me I'm a fool (seriously... I want to to) I love vaping so much... why do I do this?

Don't feel bad. I, too, have slipped off the wagon a few times since I started vaping. And it seemed to get harder as devices changed and got more powerful. Now I'm a Swedish Snus user and couldn't be happier.

It's been over eight years since I burned any tobacco. A friend introduced me to vaping and more specifically to the world of NETs (naturally extracted tobaccos). I had no ambitions of "quitting" smoking but once I acquired all the necessary gear and got started I never lit up again. Fortunately it just worked out that way for me. Also glad I stumbled upon ECF when I did, wouldn't be where I am today without all the help/information everyone here provided!

The exact date will never be known to me - it just sort of happened and i didn't take a lot of notice. It was just before my ECF joining date though...
Which is something of a surprise now i've looked at the date. I guess the pack of ciggies i have stashed somewhere are a bit stale now.
Aaah, no. I remember now, i tried a cigarette a couple of years after stopping. Didn't like it, tasted of death and hobo socks... Sod it, lets call it 6 years today :D

16th of October 2015 was the last time I lit my pipe after 50+ years of smoking intially unfiltered cigarettes and then a pipe from 1974.

Vaping just worked for me from the off and I honestly can say that I have never been tempted to even try smoking since.

To me Vaping has been nothing short of miraculous.

Vaping since November 2019.

Only had one relapse, went thru a really bad and messy breakup, went out for drinks and my mod ran out of batteries so i caved in accepted a cigarette from someone, then after a couple more shots of tequila i ended up buying a pack of cigarettes.

That has been the only time i smoked, but yeah no doing that again...smell of cigarettes makes me physically sick so i am sticking with vaping.

I blame the tequila shots for my relapse...hence me not drinking tequila again :lol:

It would have been almost 12 years ago, but I've had two psych hospitalizations in that time, where they allow you to smoke, but not vape. I would smoke then, and immediately upon discharge, vape like h3ll. So I guess it's been about 5 and a half years for me since my last smoke.

No chance. "Tough" is the devil we've all met.

"A" for efforts, because that's what counts.

It's been about a year and a half for me. I can't remember whether we bought a pack or had one with the neighbors.

Having an occasional cigarette during the first few years of vaping was fine for us, a pack or two a year. We finally just stopped thinking of smoking. Safe isolation has meant few visits to a bar or the neighbors to tempt us.

I'll probably have a few more in the future. Only the first Newport Light still tastes good, after that I don't want another. Vaping spoiled smoking for me, and I am thankful.
