Can a Chuck atty contact area get "squished" down?

I'm just curious. I've had my Chuck for about 3 months now and it rocks, but I was wondering if the contact area where the atty touches can get worn or squished down causing poor contact, because of atty swapping.

Also, can the switch contact get the same type of problem, where it doesn't make full contact?

I ask because for the last few days I've had sporadic non-hitting from the Chuck. I tried several attys and had varying results. Then I tried my last new one, and it seems to work fine.

So can there be a contact issue with some attys?

Is the switch easily replacable, just in case?

Try this thread and see if this helps your attys: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/thag-built-chuck/62325-if-you-have-atty-works-1-device-but-not-another.html

From what I've heard, it's easy to mess up your chuck if you try to change the swtich yourself. I've also heard that the switches Jeff uses are more reliable than a similar switch available from Rodio Shack.
Its also rated for diff amps ;) Better leave it to Jeff for replacement...If you ship priority, hell fix n ship same or next day he recieves it... My mom had hers back in 4 days after shipping to him...:)

the center posts on attys AND connectors both can slide a lil...I have to do the "post trick" in the mentioned thread in earlier post almost everytime....the only way to fix it perm is to drop a ball of solder on the center post of connector but carefule not to let it touch the outer rim.....I dont bother w all that, just take a tweezer or finger nail and shimmy it out a lil on atty end. works every time, ;)

Also, this used to happen alot...theres also "the staple mod"...if you do a search on it youll find a bunch of talk abt it...its a lil more permanent than adjusting the post all the time. :)
