Am I really alone in the world of vapers on ECF? Or are there others who like me, have never ordered or tried juice from any of the vendors that are so often talked about around here?
I've gotten very close to ordering Frankenvape, Unicorn Poop, Purple Pie Man and many other juices that people rant, rave, and review with high regards. They sound amazing, but I've just never tried any. Not one.

I started vaping with disposables, then went to rechargeable cig-alikes with pre-filled cartos, and although they were yummy, soon after learned I could clean and refill them to save money. I don't have a B&M nearby, so I bought the nasty and cheap one note flavors that my local tobacco shop sold. Mixing those to try to create better flavors was my first step into DIY, and while searching info online I joined ECF and found all of the great recipes and flavor vendor links, so there was no stopping my DIY craze at that point.

I then made some friends here (it's been a slow process cuz I don't like to friend people first and feel like I'm bugging them or something lol), and their private messages and forum posts that I read pointed out the fact that most people (even those who DIY) buy gourmet juice pretty often. I still didn't put much thought into it, and since I already spend more $ than I would like to on DIY supplies and my slow upgrading from cig-alikes, I just didn't feel there was any good reason to pay the (much higher than I'm used to) gourmet juice prices just to try a popular flavor.

Once in a while I'll see someone review a juice and describe it's amazing flavors. For a few seconds I'll consider buying it, but that is stomped out quickly by the overwhelming DIY'ers urge to try to create something similar lol.

That being said, don't get me wrong. I make, and have made lots of delish juices that keep me content, but I sometimes feel I'm missing out on something and I can't help but wonder how many of you out there can relate.

Is there anyone out there who also has never bought a gourmet juice? Or am I alone in the crowd of cloud lol?

I used to be like that so no, there's nothing wrong with any of what you said. The only reason why I ended up exploring vendors mentioned here was that my tastebuds began to get numb to my B&Ms yummy tobacco juice. So then I tried their fruit juices(my local B&M) and they sucked!

In my desperation to not give in to analogs again I began to do searches on the internet to find some vendors. I actually found my vendors first and only discovered ECF forums later. Guess I did it 'bass-ackwards'! At any rate--it's all about what works for you and makes you happy and keeps you off those analog nasties!!

You're not alone! These days, I DIY exclusively and wouldn't bother buying any liquid from anybody. I prefer my DIY stuff, and most of what I tried is perfumey, too sweet, too...something, or just plain not that great.

We should point out I'm intolerant of most sweet notes as I simply dislike sweet flavors. You can't get me to eat pie or cake, either.

Since at the moment my budget is a little strained, I also can't afford gourmet liquid. Fortunately, I really love my DIY.

DIY really seems to be the way to go these days. I haven't tried it yet because I don't have the knowledge but one day...one day I WILL :)

Thanks. Funny thing is, I feel like I went about it all backwards lol. The only juice I ever bought was such crap, maybe my DIY isn't as awesome as I think lol.

It keeps me content though. It's a VERY satisfying hobby, I never get bored because I keep adding new flavors to my stash, and I'm still saving a lot of money.

It's pretty easy, particularly if you start with single-note flavors and don't try anything hyper-complicated as your first go at it.

The only thing I'd recommend is starting with a modest quality of a moderate nic liquid, like 36, the first few times until you get used to handling the stuff. Then if you want to step up to a higher nic level base, go ahead. These days I use 100 as it's the most cost-effective.

That's if you use nic at all, of course...

Pfffffffffffft! If I can do it ANYONE can lol! Everything you need to know is here in the forum. Start small, and just have fun with it. I figure if you can have personalized juice for around a buck and a quarter for 10ml, what have you got to lose? ;)

Tru dat. We were discussing that in the other thread 'round here, and my personal cost is $0.04 per ml, or $0.40 for that 10 ml. My go-to is a simple flavor, and the primary in it is menthol, which I make myself from crystals and PG, though.

I tend to batch my daily flavor 500 ml at a time, at a cost of $20 for half a liter.

I haven't made juice that cheap in quite some time now that I'm using more than 4 flavors a lot of the time. Still dirt cheap, but kudos to you for keeping it almost free!
