Guy I work with has a starter kit with 650 mah ego and vision clearomizer. He came and asked me to look at it because it was barely vaping, no taste, like the battery was very weak even though it was a fresh charge.

I took the clearo off and put it on my smok winder at 4v and it did great, tasted good and made a huge cloud of vapor. I told him it must be the battery because the clearo seemed fine.

I put it back on his battery and tried it again and it did fine. It vaped good for him the rest of the day.

I didn't even know what to tell him about what was going on with it. Anyone have any idea what made it start working again ?

Perhaps the original connection was not completely contacting.

Im guessing the connection wasnt good between the tank and battery ( tight enuf)

Sounds like it wasn't a battery issue, but an issue with the clearomizer.

Clearomizers can be rather wonky by nature. You've only got a couple of small silica string wicks bringing a small amount of e-liquid to the heating coil. It can be very easy to overcome its ability to keep up with a heavy vaping technique.

Chances are there was some gunk on the coil which was affecting the quality of the vape. You put the clearo on your battery and used your vaping technique which may have been different from your friend's. The gunk on the coil disappears and now the coil is working good as new.

This is all conjecture, of course. I really have no idea.

I did check to make sure it was snug on the battery and looked at the battery for any gunk on the terminal(?) everything looked good. I was sure it was the clearo until I toked on it. Oh well, I'd rather be lucky than good any day!

Usually i used multimeter to find out this kind of problem.
