I have been reading about vaping for almost a month now (and vaped for approximately 50 days), but since my native language is Danish and all the good things is in English (and Google translate still sometimes has some really weird translations), I thought I would ask here.. So I have bought the kangertech k kiss (which is good due here in Denmark, a new law says that we can only buy max 2 ml tanks), and I also have a Evod v v 1600mah battery.
My question is : can I put the 4.5 ml tank from the kangertech k kiss onto the evod battery? I am using 1.2 ohm coils, and I can't figure out if it is dangerous to use on the evod battery.. I have tried to read up on the ohm Law, but I must admit (at the age of 40), that I don't get it lol

It is alright to put that tank on any mod that it will screw into it. You would want to start out slow so your tank will adjust. Is the mod a vv or watt adjustable?

Thanks for your answer. It says v v in the name, but I think it is watt. On the bottom there is a thing I can turn from 3.6 to 4.4..not sure if I understand correctly what you ask, sorry..

That is exactly what I was asking. Thank you for such a quick reply. I would adjust the watts to the lowest to start out with. Then you can raise it is you so desire. Play around with what tastes the best for you. Let us know how it goes, and enjoy.

Oh I see.. A battery with adjustable watts is called a mod.. Lol, now some things suddenly makes more sense.. Thanks.

Actually, anything you can put a tank on and vape from, is a mod.

To call the whole thing a "battery" is slightly inaccurate. The battery is inside the mod. Other parts of the mod are the 510 connector that you screw your atomizer to, the fire button, the casing. Potentially a circuit to adjust the voltage, power (Watts) or temperature. Potentially a charger, usually with a USB plug.

Potentially a display, a wireless adapter, a flashlight, or even an MP3 player or a phone (yes, mods with phones do exist, it's ridiculous).

There are also mods with no electronics: Just a simple metal tube with a 510 connector, a battery and a button switch. These are usually called "mechanical mods" or just mech mods.

That is very good information, I will read it thoroughly so I understand. Thanks a lot..

Just to clarify a little. Unless you are building your own coil heads(usually rta or rba type of tanks) you don't really have to worry too much about the ohm. The ohm is the resistance that an atomizer wire has and the lower the ohm the less resistance(easier to draw on). When you buy factory coils, they list the ohms to let you know approx where to place the wattage, but I always just make sure that the first time using a new coil I prime it with ejuice, allow it to set for a few minutes, take a couple of tokes on the tank without pressing the fire button-this helps to draw ejuice into the coil and lastly start at the lowest setting and work my way up to where it tastes good.
Hope this helps.

It helps soooo much, and it actually makes sense to me.. Thanks so much, really appreciate it.

Just to clarify, it sounds like the evod is variable voltage, not variable wattage. Of course, changing the voltage changes the wattage, so it's still adjustable. It just means that if you get a factory coil like @Sugar_and_Spice says, the recommended wattage won't be a setting you'll use. Just start at the lowest setting and increase it gradually until you like what you get.

Do you have any documentation that came with your evod? It should tell you the minimum resistance (ohms) you can use with it. You probably won't be able to use sub-ohm coils (coils rated less than 1 ohm), but I'm not sure where the cut off is.

Good luck!

As long as you don't care what it looks like, you can mix and match! This was what I used for months when I first started. ;)

So now that you are vaping happily away, this is the time to consider getting a back up for that mod. Something you can use either at the same time, or whenever something may go wrong with your first one. Not saying it will but nothing lasts forever, and its always good to be prepared. Vaping is not as easy as cigarettes as in you can't just run to the store in a minute for another pack. If your current one ever fails and you have no backup device, then the temptation exists for a return to smoking.
just my 2 pennies.

You are really a good help...is it not possible to give you more than a like?
I agree with you, vaping takes more time and if I suddenly can not vape, I would smoke a cigarette, and I can start over.. What you say is totally logic, but I have not thought about it.. And since "smoke it" is only 2 minutes away, I just bought a extra tank and mod (i call it a battery..and due the new law they have 40% off), so now I have a spare if things goes sideways.. So glad I posted in this forum..

Actually *I believe* the "anything you can screw it onto" statements are wrong. The OP says his coils are 1.2 ohm from what I'm told that's way too low. Any eGo/Evod type mod battery is stressed below 1.8 ohm.

I was using a 1.5 ohm on an eGo and it seemed to work fine. But one of our battery gurus @Baditude informed me that it was risky business. Hopefully he can pop in here and say I'm mistaken but I don't think I am?

Agree with you, certainly can't use any tank on an evod just because it fits. I think your 1.5 was ok and With a VV on minimum voltage it might go lower (1.2 0hms for example) but why do that? Best to get a regulated mod made for bigger tanks.

I bought a mod joytech/joygrip or something like that, and a couple of 2 ml tanks to use on the go and a eleaf kit. Now I have tried them out and I must say that the tank from the kanger k kiss gives a really good taste compared to the other.
