Can I treat these batteries like I do to my phones?

I have five VTC4, one Panasonic NCR18650B and two iJoy INR26650... Can I charge them while not yet 100% (considered) drained? Also can I pull them out of charging and use them with maybe 80 to 90% charge without damaging them? Basically treating them like my mobile phones. Just out of convenience... Are they even the same type? Li-ion or Nickel? IDK Maybe I should tag @Mooch ... Sorry mate! Just wanted to know. Cheers!

Li-ion IMR (lithium manganese) and INR (lithium nickle) battery chemistry cells do not have "memory", so they do not need to be fully discharged prior to re-charging like a Nickle Cadium battery would. They can also be used if not fully charged 100%.

Battery Basics for Mods: The Definative Battery Guide for Vaping

The VTC4 is a hybrid INR (nickle) chemistry. The Panasonic NCR18650B is hybrid chemistry heavily weighted to the ICR (lithium cobalt) side (it has an amp rating of only 6 amps, so its not a good choice for vaping). The iJoy obviously is an INR chemistry.

The chemistry makeup of a battery is not as important as the battery specification...primarily the amp rating. When using a regulated mod, the amp rating determines the wattage that your mod can use. If using a mechanical mod, the amp draw of the coil used (ohm) should not exceed the amp rating of the battery; determining the amp draw of the coil is found by using an ohm's law calculator. Explain it to the Vape Noob: Ohm's Law Calculations for a Mechanical Mod

(Total wattage doubles using 2 batteries; Triples using 3 batteries.)

You can use or charge batteries for single-battery mods at any time. But if you have multi-battery mods then only use their sets of batteries after they have all been fully charged together to “rebalance” their voltages.

You can recharge sets of batteries at any time, just do so fully before using them again. You can stop/restart using sets of batteries at any time. Just recharge them together.

Great stuff you guys! I never bothered with multi battery mods just because of the marriage thing. I like them single always and forever. That's also the reason for those big fat 26650s... But extra knowledge is never a bad thing! No one knows if I may end up with one of those duals or more mods, gift or finders keepers. So thanks all you guys!

Really with the new 21700 cells most people won’t have to ever get a dual cell mod unless they really want to. They have great capacity and can still deliver 20 amps which covers most mid watt vaping styles.
