Can juice turn my coil dark in less than 1 tank?

Last night I put in a brand new microcoil In my kayfun, today after less than a tank my coil is turning the juice dark. I find it strange that this happened with less than a tank, this has never happened to me so quick. Is the juice to blame? The juice is dream tea from mbv.

I've had juices colored before from the coil. I just removed a wick that had some juice sitting in it for a couple days, the wick and coil were both black. The coil actually looked corroded. Interestingly, I had two other tanks holding liquid for the same time, same coil and wick set up and still pristine, so it's something in that specific juice doing it.

Yea must be the juice. Flavors got South on the New coil within an hour. Too bad, I really liked the flavor of the juice.

I try to stick with clear liquids, any artificial color they seem to destroy coils quickly.

Funny thing is its almost clear. Maybe it's the sugar in it?

I try to stick to clear colors too. But there is a time, when I want that dark colored apple pie/ cake stuff. I have tried top coils and bottom coils. My best idea was to use rinseable wicks. And do it often. Between fillings. Still, That was not optimum, just satisfactory. I want to know too!

My guess that isn't something related to PH and acids, but that's only guessing.

unless you know every ingredient in the juice you will just be guessing as to what it is. it is the juice, we know that much,, lol

I found that if they add sweetner, it tends to darken the tank quicker. I ordered some straight sweetner to sweeten some black cherry, and the black cherry would darken quite fast. Without, it was fine. I just accept it and just use that juice in drippers with cotton wicks that can be replaced easily.
