Hi folks

Im a renewed Newbie,

Ex Smoker gone E-smoker turned smoker.. gone E-smoking again into a world which has changed completely

When i started smoking e-cigs, i started gamucci finished ego-c/t wise i think.. we had just moved from drip-tipping cotton cartomizers onto spikeable squid tip tanks... thats where i ended my journey

Now ive picked back up on e-vaping.. i went and bought myself on order today a protank v3 with 5 coil heads from ukecigstore.com, 30ml ........ e-liquid from haze-vapours.co.uk and 10ml eliquid strawberry chew from jacvapour.com

My batteries are from my previous sop smoking attempt and are from the Premium site which has the devil as a trademark, they are marked as Tornado-C batteries.. will these hold up for the protank or am i looking at extra expense? I dont know where these batteries are in Ego/Joyeland 510's? 650 watts? ... its a wonder...

I wish it was a bit less technical

Thanks for replies :2cool:

The Tornado-C batteries you have will be ego-style and either 650mAh or 1000mAh depending on if you got the big or small ones. Most ego batters are around 3.7v output. That should be enough for your Protank. My Protank 3 works when I have my battery set to 3.3v so you should definitely have no problem with the power.

As far as actually using the Protank on the Tornado-C, it appears to have a 510 connection, which you do need for the Protank.

Hi there I have the same set up as u except im using the pt2mini the devil logo is from totally wicked or I think twisted wicked which I have as well from ur description u have an ego it is called a tornado c twist if im right u have a twist able dial at the bottom that allows u to change voltage most like from 3.2 to 4.8 this is known as variable voltage the tank u have which is a 510 connector will work with ur battery depending on what resistance ur tank is whether standard or low ur vape expierence may differ but all in all ur tank and battery should work fine together

Actually - these will sort of work together - but you will most likely need to switch the coil out for the earlier protank single coils. Ego style batteries do not generally push enough amps to properly power a dual coil set up. There have been a lot of recent posts regarding pt3 +eGo= poor vapor production.

Do other coils work in the PT3 ??

If they are the older eGo-C batts then they fire @ 3.3 volts. Some newer Ego's fire @ 3.7 volts. You'll need 1.8 ohms. All the previous info "IF" they are the older eGo C- The Tornado line is from Totally Wicked and are rebranded eGo batts.

hi thanks for all the replies.

They will be older batteries from about the 2011/2012 era, not Ego twists either.. just say Tornado-C, the 5-click button type that also turns 3 diff colors depending on how worn the battery is during use. Dont want to spend all my budget on accessories.. as tempting as it is but from what ive bought (i also got 5 spare standard resistance heads at an extra tenner ;-) ) i should be good for the month.. although i see myself in the next 2 weeks doing lots of research on batteries to bulk up stock

Considering im not up to date with the VV type of setup.. classed as a newbie as such.. i dont see myself running for a Provari JUST yet but can anyone recommend say.. where i could buy 2 batteries that are decent enough for say... under £50.. just so i can get a heads up and research them for my next pay in 2 weeks time :)

Thanks folks,

Good to be back on the vaping side, where i actually get something back for what i spend.. instead of basically burning my cash to ash

If your charger still works then you could buy 2 Spinner VV batts:
Vision Spinner 1300 MAH - Batteries & Chargers
or
2 Evod Twist VV batts:
Evod Twist 1000 mah V V Battery - Batteries & Chargers

Edit: Batteries above are a really good price- other Vendors selling them for $22- $24 apiece. Vendor is reputable and highly regarded.

Thanks very much, apart from the mah is there any difference in quality.. would you sway for one more than another? :p

I own the JoyTech Twists and Spinners and much prefer the Spinners cuz:
shorter but 1 mm wider
visible voltage markings
wider knurled voltage dial= easier to turn
larger mah- when vaping higher voltage batt wears down slightly faster and the extra mah helps.
As far as the Evod Twists I've never used them
All three from large reputable companies
Twist Dial

Spinner Dial

Whichever you buy be aware on the Chrome models the numbers will wear out. Non chrome won't.
