I haven't used this, but I have a trip coming up and I'm NOT electriconically inclinded.

the ego ad adapter stats are:
Parameters
*Input voltage: AC100 - 240V @ DCS 0.1A 50/60Hz
*Output voltage: DC5V +/-0.5V @ DCS5 500mA +/-50mA

the blue adapter stats are:

I/P : AC 120V. 50/60 HZ 0.15A
O/P; DC 5V 0.5A

am I right that it will charge it ok, but take longer?

Eh? If this is just the mains adapter (between wall socket and USB-adapter) the reverse polarity shouldn't matter at all. That would be taken care of by the USB=> PV charger.

Otherwise different polarities would need different USB-ports, wouldn't they?
(Or is this Blu (whatever it is) so extremely high tech and picky that it actually makes use of some of the more esoteric functions in the newest USB-standards? I think not. If that was the case it wouldn't work on older computers' USB-ports, and should have come with all kinds of directions and warnings. If it came with a plain USB-charger good for plugging into any USB-port that mains-adapter should be just fine.)

*I* wouldn't even think twice about using this. Now, if either the voltage or the amperage was different (by more than 10% or so), I would be a bit weary - I actually posted a question about just this issue in another thread here - but identical specs is identical specs. Vendors who want to sell you more gear will of course tell you otherwise... :glare:

My wife was the first to try vaping. She bot a Blu. After I tried it out and found that it really sucked, I came to ECF and did some research. I ended up getting a couple of mega style cigarette sized batteries and some cartos. I didn't purchase a charger.
I tried to charge them on her Blu charger and no charging happened. I then used a voltage meter and found out about the polarity reversal. I simply bought a battery adapter (female threads) and tore apart an old carto for the male threads. I swapped the center post leads and outer (thread part) leads and was able to charge my batteries with her charger.

No damage was done to either the charger or my batteries when I first tried to charge without the adapter, but I can't say that damage would not be done on other types of chargers or batteries.

I have since moved on to Egos, ePowers and ultimately a ProVari. (She is still fiddling on and off with the Blu and analogs - go figure!)

My 510 Battery wasn't so Lucky.

The Magic Smoke came out of it after about 5 Minutes.

There is absolutely zero difference between your USB power supplies. That is what they are, USB power supplies that provide 5 volts to power your e-cig chargers. Go ahead and plug in any e-cig charger, Kindle charging cord, cellphone charging cord, even your USB powered vibrator  (Yes Virginia, they do exist).
