I was just sitting here talking on the phone with my new(1 week old) PureSmoke ecig sitting on the desk near me. When I hung up I heard a sizzle/hissing sound and noticed that the paper it was sitting on was smoking and liquid was spitting out of the mouth piece. Grabbed it without thinking and burned my thumb and finger for my foolishness. Had a vice grip wrench and picked it up with that, the plastic mouth piece was melting. The battery end was cool enough that I managed to get the battery unscrewed from the atomizer and everything stopped.
Is this a known problem? It was a 'automatic model' And I suspect that had something to do with it running wild. Can anybody tell me what the Heck went wrong? I had already decided that my next model would be something with a manual button to press since I could not depend on this thing to vap when I drew on it. Are manual models safe from what ever this was? I left the other one at work in a metal box so I hope it is safe but from now on I will not leave the battery and vaporizerconnected when not using it.
is there any chance that this battery is safe to use? I sure as Heck will not connect it to my USB outlet on my computer. Any Info anyone can share with me will be welcomed.
