There's a local shop with a new "drip line" of eliquids. I wanted to purchase one that sounded great, a cake batter flavor so I asked for a bottle. The dude working the front counter told me this liquid line is intended for a specific setup, the rda/rba. He didn't seem very noob friendly and seemed busy, so I didn't ask further questions.
Can anyone explain why these setups use a different type of eliquid?
Why wouldn't I be able to use that kind of liquid in my vision spinner or evod vv?

Thanks, in advance!!

I've run into this too, at a local vape shop. After I insisted that they tell me why, the guy shrugged and said "It's pure VG based, and won't work in a tank, it's only for drippers." Not really true, my nautilus can handle 100% vg, albeit not very easily. VG is a lot thicker, so if you really wanted to use it, you could probably do so by thinning it, either with a high PG juice or with distilled water, from what I've read. Hope that helps.

Usually e-liquids specifically for dripping will be high VG and lower nicotine. There is no reason why you cannot use them in a clearomizer except with them being a little thicker, you might have some issues with them wicking correctly and might get the occasional dry hit.

If this was the case, you could always thin them out a little bit with a few drops of distilled water or vodka.

I often find that "drip line" is just another phrase for over-priced.

Oh, go back and tell him to quit being a jerk :D

I have only been in two B&M shops but both of them made me feel like an expert of vaping and that is just not true. Your going to get your best recommendations and help from ecf. No doubt about it. Just reading the new posts, I can't tell you how much I have learned. I do not use 100% vg but I do know if you are having an issue with your atomizer that you can thin the liquid down with distilled water or PGA. Good luck to you and I'm glad you are a part of ecf.

Unless you're using a dripper, you'll probably be disappointed. As shady said, if you buy it and try to use it in your aerotank you'll have real serious problems due to it's viscosity. Their flavor is often balanced out for a high-VG mix, as generally a shop will do some variation of flavoring + 50/50 PG/VG. At higher PG the flavor may be stronger, and lower VG may be weaker, so they take that into account when going high-VG and then market it as a drip line.

So unless you're after a high-VG liquid due to a PG-sensitivity or something there's often very little reason to want it, and getting it to dilute it seems counter-productive.

This (plus less flavour and less nic, so... less for more).

It's hype and misplaced elitism. Won't have it in my house. I'd tell him to get off my lawn.

Totally agree. If I am buying e-liquid for $30 for 30ml, I'm getting it at the highest nic level possible and lowering the strength myself.

Yes I know I'm changing the finely researched flavor balance and adjusting the parameters of the flavor nuances, but get off my lawn as well.

I've never met a max-VG juice that didn't get along just fine with a little distilled water or plain PG to thin it out. I buy Boba's Bounty in 18mg (a juice notorious for having a consistency roughly equivalent to that of maple syrup) and cut it in half to 9mg with PG. It vapes out of whatever I choose to put it in, and tastes just as good as it should. And the bonus is, of course, that I get two bottles for the price of one. :D

PG is dirt cheap.

I don't really see how cloud chasing e-liquid would be classified as elite- mostly VG, little flavor or nicotine. More utilitarian...

Was referring to the clerk's 'tude, mostly. The juice might be practical, but it's got a marketing thrust to it that plays to cool kids' pride.

Hi cassondruh!

two words = vape snob.

brick and mortar vape shops can be soooooo trying. Especially if you are a gal. I will only go into 2 vape shops in my town and there are at least 6 shops here, not including the ones in nearby towns. I live in washington and there are almost as many vape shops opening as there are pot shops. hmmm.. maybe just as many. TOO many young business owners trying to cash in on the cash cow that is vaping (and not knowing a darn thing about customer service), yes I am biased!!!

I am NOT old by any means, but the only shops I go to "happen" to be owned by middle-to-retirement aged men and women. I don't think this is a coincidence. Sure they hire young people. But they really believe in their product making people's lives better AND (since they used to own Tobacco shops) they know their customer service. They DO NOT differentiate between young and old, man or woman, tattooed, military, whatever whatever. As long as you are 18+ they will take your money with a big fat smile on their face and greet you like an old friend EVERY time you step into their shop. That's the only thing I miss about smoking... the tobacco shop owners were always GREAT at customer service. I knew one old korean couple who would "pretend" to remember you every time you walked in the door and then give you a fortune cookie every time you bought a pack of cigs from them.

rant almost complete. And BE AWARE if you decide to yelp on them! I actually had one fool business owner track me through their "customer appreciation" database, to find out the exact time my transaction occurred, and tried to get me to complain about a couple of his employees, so that I would change my review if they were "disciplined" err retrained, yah right.

anyhow never heard of a juice being "only" for dripping. Sure max vg is hard on the coils in a clearomizer, but that didn't stop me from using max vg juices in a clearo, just meant I had to change the coil more often!

rant complete. sorry. ;b I get on my soap box about customer service. probably why I am going to switch over to diy soon. heh.

p.s. did you like any of the juices I sent you?
