I knew off hand that you probably sold the O16 and there is nothing wrong with that. How much circulation do you actually do on the various forums?
The key comment that folks were asking when this PV hit the street was can I use a standard 510 atty on the batt? The answer is yes.
To some folks, the cone is not important on the eGo and when used it is for purely aesthetic reasons, and that is fine too. But the cone on an eGo and its associates changes the vape night and day. The cone shaped atty on the O16 is just that, a cone shaped atty that does absolutely nothing to the vape and is purely aesthetics. But folks were/are flocking to the O16, H16 and F16 for the 1300mAh battery, and that is ok too. But neither of them can be compared against the eGo and its associates.
When Janty announced the new eGo mega cartos and atty/carts, I immediatly asked if the new attys and cartos performed like the eGo. The cartos have been reviewed with differing results, although the jury is still out on them, in general they are less than favourable.
Basing my decision on pictures provided and watching the TW video, I dismissed them as being nothing more than a fancy 801 that fit the eGo. Not far off, it is my understanding that the atty is a 302. The problem with the 801 is its ability to wick properly and never being able to vape a cart dry. The mega carts hold 44 drops of liquid (2ml) I personally recommend no more than 40 (the atty is too wet with 44).
The longevity is definitely there, but the question remains how is the wickability of the cart after extended use. Once it becomes "greasy" it doesn't flow as well and you cannot access all its content, resulting in a wash and subsequently a waste of fluid. With regards to vapability, it vapes like an 801/302 and not an eGo. Something I surmized seeing the pics and watching the video. Of course one could say modify the cart, and this would be something one could do. The frustrations of trying to modify the cart for various liquids I personally use, was more a pain than just remaining with the 510 which performs/ed like a champ. The 801 has been relinquished to dripping at HV.
So in summation wrt the mega atty and carts for the eGo. Do they perform like an eGo? No, they vape like an 801/302. But they do hold allot of liquid, how much of that liquid can be vaped remains to be seen. The vape is good don't get me wrong but it is an 801/302 vape. To some folks, this is good. I prefer the 510, and especially a 510 fitted to an eGo. Some folks prefer a 302 over an 801, and although they are similar, they perform differently.
IMHO there are vendors and there are users. Vendors sell their wears and we use them. I will always endeavour to remain objective on qualifying and dis-qualifying products/statements. The OP asked which one, I believe I have provided the info for him/her to make an educated decison.
- battery life = O16
- vapability eGo, because vaping an eGo (or its associates) without a cone is like vaping a 510 on a 3.1V 650mAh batt. For that matter one could use a 3.7V box mod fitted with a 900mAh 14500 battery at a fraction of the cost of any of the proprietary batts.
This is indeed the type of info folks are seeking!
