I know there are a lot of handy people at ECF. I'm hoping someone can tell me how to fix a problem I have.

My cat knocked my eGo Twist on the floor last night and the way it hit knocked the button out of whack. It's now stuck with one side of the button out and one in. I tried to gently pull it back into position, but no luck.

Anyone have any solutions for me? Or is it toast?

I don't own one and, of course, have not torn one apart. However, I can tell you something in general about buttons that MAY help until you get better advice.

The plastic button is actually a "cover" for the little light (LED) and switch underneath. So, it's a plastic cap with maybe some rubber or a spring under it and an LED with connections.

If you can force it back into position it may work. It may break. If the LED no longer works, you might consider it unsafe.

I'd say you don't have anything to lose at this point. Unplug the atty while you do it. If it sticks afterward or the LED doesn't work.... get another one.

Well? Did it work? Inquiring minds want to know!

Well, kinda. It's hard to explain, the button is still crushed, but I pulled it out enough that it works. The bottom is still in too far and the top is stuck out too far, but I can't get it to shift into the right position. But, like I said, it works when I push it. Should I keep trying to make it even or just be happy it works?

To be honest, my Provari Mini came today and I've been playing with it too much to worry about the Twist too much.

Don't feel sorry for me, feel sorry for the cat! I think I scared one of her nine lives out of her when I yelled as the Twist tumbled to the floor. It's actually the cat that's in my avatar, only all grown up now.

Yeah, the Mini is pretty amazing, but until I build up my arm muscles a little, I think I'll still be using the Twist part of the day.
