Can VK really replace analog?

HI, noob here.
Just ordered VK kit and waiting on it. I knew about e-cigs, but couldn't pull the trigger cause I thougt (somehow still thinking) its just another form of nicogum or patches that eventually not gonna work.

I think I took pretty good first step by ordering VK - thanks to you guys.
But, can VK really replace analog? I mean ever?

I think that's up to you, but I haven't had one since I got my VK in the mail on Sept 2nd after 19 years of smoking.

honestly yes I belive it can! this is from someone who loves to smoke did for 24 years and never wanted to quit. I could be dying from pnemonia and I would still be sucking on a cigarette while coughing my lungs out and would put off going to the hospital so I could still smoke! I knew I coudl easily switch over in the first 15 mins! and within 2 days I had already cut down from 1 1/2 pack to 4 analog cigs a day ( without even trying)

I believe it can, and many people here who were long time smokers have completely given up the analogs. Some have cut their cigarette usage down to almost nothing.

For me, I had smoked more then half my life, a pack a day. I quit with patches, gum, and even cold turkey - once for 3 years but not a day went by that I wanted a cigarette. I have not had a cigarette in almost a month, and believe it or not - I do not even want one. There are people who have smoked for 40 years, and are finally able to give it up! So yeah, I am a believer!

Everyone is different, I smoked for 2 weeks about 3-4 a day and finally didn't even want cigs. Some people are able to give it up the minute they start vaping, some still hang on to cigarettes but smoke considerably less. Hang in there, we are all here for you! And welcome to the club!

Smoked 40 years 1.5 packs per day. Have not had an analog since I took the first hit off my VK. I call that a miracle.

I believe so. I smoked for 30 years, 2 packs a day. Since I started vaping 3 days ago i haven't even thought about analogs. I took a puff of one tonight and it tasted horrible.

I immediately dropped from almost 2 packs a day, to about 2-3 cigs a day. I have now gone my first full day without a cigarette in more than 20 years. Can it work? Definitely. Does it take at least some willpower? Of course. Is it easier than ANYTHING available on the market today? Absolutely.

yes. Said this before but I had no intention of becoming a non smoker. After the first week of getting my nic levels and flavors adjusted I was in vaping heaven as smilin would say. Haven't had an analog in over a month and not missing it. And I am starting to notice some better breathing when I am sleeping. I developed a little morning cough and such a week ago but that is starting to go away. If this little baby can do it for a smoker with no intention to stop then it can do so for you.

It was extremely easy for me to switch to vaping! I smoked for 16 years and have only smoked 1/2 an analog since I picked up an e-cig 3 weeks ago. I felt like I really needed a smoke so I lit one up. The taste was horrid and I couldn't even make it through the entire thing cause it hurt my lungs. What really sucked is when I finally realized that the VK is waht I wanted in the first place, I picked it up and couldn't taste the flavor at all At that moment I decided that I will absolutely never touch another analog as long as I live. It killed the flavor of the VK for me for that entire night! Damn you analogs!

My brother I guess is quite a bit different than me. It's funny because he's actually the one that got me started on vaping in the first place, but it isn't working for him I think part of the problem is that he is so freakin stubborn. He can't get past the fact that it isn't exactly like a cigarette. I told him that you need to pull "long and slow" off the VK and he just wasn't having it. He kept trying to hit it like an analog. I'm sure it was partially his ego getting in the way you know, having his little brother show him how to do something LOL. Anyway, I'm sure if he wasn't so stubborn and actually made the effort to pull right and find a flavor and strength that worked well for him than he could have dropped the analogs for the VK.

So all-in-all I think DanF nailed it when he said that it still takes some willpower. I think that is actually the most important part. You have to at least somewhat want to quit to begin with. As long as you stick with it and don't give up, the VK makes it very easy to quit in my opinion.

RyGuy - is he using the manual or auto? If the auto, has he tried Gizmos trick of taking one of the covers and cutting off the end and sliding it so that it somewhat covers the air vents? I found the auto hits almost like an analog with that...

Honestly I think he's too fed up and stubborn to try. Last time he came over he pretty much just told me that it wasn't going to work for him and that was that. I tried to get him to sample a couple of the other flavors and what not, but he seemed less than interested. Oh well, to each his own I guess.

I noticed she won't puff o it as much as she would a analog and then puts it down after 1 or 2 puffs and wants analog. I thought to myself if she woudl just hold onto it and puff off it for an hour she might actually like it!
But she did take it to show some of her friends LOL
Atleast I am getting some good use out of my bats and carts while I wait for my VG

I am definitely grateful that he turned me on to vaping. I think that's why I'm so bummed that it hasn't worked for him. I kinda feel bad. Oh well, like you said, I'm sure he'll come around, or at least find something that works for him.

Frustrating isn't it? I think some just can't pull their brain away from the analog. At least it can work for you! I hope you get your VG soon

I am also a noob here. Just got my first e-cig on september 17th and have not had an analog since! I can tell you that I did not even expect to completely quit analogs right away, as a matter of fact I have a brand new unopened pack of analogs I still carry in my purse, that I bought right before I recieved my e-cig. I have not opened it, nor have I wanted to.
Vaping is all I need to get my nic-fix . It tastes soooo much better to me and I feel so much healthier. I feel free....and I smell goooood!!!
I know you're gonna love your VK and V4L. I am so thrilled to have found them!

my problem is I really enjoy smoking so gum and patches just don't apeal to me. However, e-cigs do. I have spent the last 2 weeks reading everything I can find on these things from brands to flavors to strengths of juice. I will order mine and my wifes hopefully by thursday(payday) and give it a run at it my life depends on it!

Ohhh thanks! A lot of people posted good info in that thread! I think you will be pleased with your VKs - I was the same way, patches and gum didn't do it for me. I need the hand to mouth gratification I guess and this has totally done the trick, but don't worry if you still want analogs for a while. I immediately cut down to 3-4 a day for a few weeks then honestly didn't want the analogs so don't beat yourself up if you have a few at first. I also find the manual batteries more satisfying then the autos, but everyone is different.

My old 901 replaced analogs the day it arrived and i smoked 3.5packs a day for 22 years. I got horribly sick of screwing with my 901 all the time..the constant leaking, topping off carts, modding it to make it work better with rarely superior results. I then got a VK.

If anything, the VK is more like an analog than the others. I don't think i have an iron will when it comes to *quitting* analogs...the VK just replaced them. Thats fine, I loved smoking, i just hated death and stuff.
