The issue of whether coffee, soda, or tea is good for you, is a completely separate issue from remediation of the dehydration caused by nic juice. I think we can all agree that making the switch from cigarettes to e-cigs can be challenging in and of itself for many beginners. The current logic being espoused to beginners here, is that drinking coffee or soda does not assist in re-hydrating you, which the posted article clearly refutes.

I think that throwing up MORE hurdles in the face of beginners does them a disservice in making the transition. That is my point in STOPPING telling beginners to not satiate their dehydration with coffee, tea or soda. A more honest and less challenging piece of advice would simply be to tell them to drink more than they currently do, but not overdo it with caffeine or soda. Obviously, it is easier to believe a lie that one has heard a thousand times than to believe a fact that no one has heard before.

The Article Doesn't Refute anything in my mind. It is the Opinion of One Person based on a Study.

BTW - Can you post a Link to the Study so Everyone can see How the Study was Conducted?

If your qualifications in this subject were superior to a nutritionist from the Mayo Clinic, I might feel compelled to do that homework. But they're not, so Zoidman, meet google.

the only things I drink are pepsi and dr. pepper - I never drink water. seriously.
    I'm not overweight.
    I'm never dehydrated.
    I've never had a cavity.

Do they sell RC Cola where you live?

I like Pepsi better than Coke. But RC Cola is Better then Pepsi to me.

If you drink a lot of Cola, give RC a try. It's Good Stuff.

    That and Cactus Cooler.

    Try that with Sundrop :D

I was drinking sundrop for a few years while working 12hr shifts and practically bought my dentist a new Lexus.
Made a switch to sweetened ice tea and not a cavity since. I think it was something about taking a sip all through the night, citrus plus sugar, attacking the enamel or somesuch.

I'm not a clairvoyant, so I have no idea what "degree" you might possibly hold. For fun, I'll go out on a limb and guess that it doesn't have anything to do with nutrition, probability, spelling, or proper usage of capitalization, nor did it require any demonstrated competency in the same. Close?

Absolutely Correct on all Most Points.

The Last thing I would have done is to Pursue a Graduate Degree in English. Numbers seem to make More sense to me, like Statically Analysis of Data, than Silly Grammar Rules or Spelling.

I Kant Spell Wurth a Darm.

So I guess you don’t have a Link to that Study. I would have thought that since you Read It, you would have posted it here so Others could read it.

I am correct when I say that you Have Read the Study. Right?

edit: I guess I Spazzed because I see that you mentioned "probability". That I have a Decent Understand of Both Stochastic and Non-Stochastic Systems. Or at least enough to be able get what I need Done.

Now, Maybe Zoid would care to tell us exactly what discipline his degree might actually be in?

    Applied Mathematics and Computer Science.

Sorry, No Nutritional Degrees if that was what you are after.

All good Articles. Much like the stuff you read in your Local Newspaper. But I’m having a Hard Time finding any Unabridged Text of the Research that Mrs. Zeratsky mentions.

    I'll keep Looking.

I've been drinking at least 8 cups of coffee a day for the last ....20 years or so. When I first started vaping I used high PG and high nic and needed to drink water. Now I am down to 12mg and higher VG I can still drink my 8 cups a day no problem. I also always have had 2 glasses of water a day.

I'm fine, no dehydration, no kidney issues etc. I really think most people can tell when they are getting dehydrated and maybe need a glass or two of water. Otherwise whatever they normally drink should be fine, just so long as they are aware that some liquids are better at hydrating than others.

DANG it. You're a Statical Analyst. I was leaning towards brane sirjen. I'm just messing with you Zoid. Keep up the good fight, not letting facts get in the way of a good argument.

So, the OP is upset that they came here seeking answers for a problem, and the generous members here stated that in new vpaors dehydration can be a problem; therefore, kick up the water intake to feel better. The OP is upset that he/she has not had caffine....most people would have consumed their caffine and add more water during the day. Sounds to me the OP really takes what they read to heart, no matter what the subject matter may be or who posts it.

As, a medical professional. I will rehydrate my patients with non caffine, but if they want a soda that is ok. Everything in moderation, including water (yes too much water can kill too).
