Davinna let us know when you get a response back from them. I would not have sent them such an email. Now whoever got it probably doesn't want to deal with it and is passing it up the chain, it could go through legal and HR, and suddenly they are forced to create a policy about it, and they will have their eye on you. The very epitome of the phrase "better to ask forgiveness than permission".

I suppose honesty is commendable.

This truly is a VERY small business. I guess you could say it's already gone up the chain. I started at the "top" with my question. There's only 2 people between me and the CEO ;)

I was allowed to until this morning!! Stupid, stupid co-worker!!! I work for a very large financial company and my supervisor said it was okay for us to vape, so we did, openly and freely. Only one person ever complained, and he is just an ex-smoking "hater"! A vaping buddy and myself were trying to convert a smoker to vaping, and although we had been approved to vape, he went and asked the manager, who said yes we are allowed. You think it would end there but no, he kept asking the manager who eventually had to find out from HR who said we aren't allowed to vape!!! So I am about to construct an e-mail to upper management to politely voice my opinion on why vaping should be allowed. Wish me luck!

If I can vape at work is incredibly case by case basis. I do in-home care(which I love) so some people may be comfortable to the idea, and others not so much. One of my first clients I knew off the bad it would never fly, so I would have to sneak..... After 6 months of sneaking.. Now I'm just straight up honest with people if that's possible. I don't like that monkey on my back. I don't like feeling like I'm lying or being dishonest with people around me I'm growing close to through my work. I don't vape in front of clients but currently I know it's just fine for me to go outside and that's cool with me!

A fill-in I did broke my heart. Diabetic, recently lost a leg, still smoking like a champ. So we got onto the topic of e-ciggs and I told her my story, how new e-cigg shops are popping up around my area. While interested the woman was just "Well why bother? I don't get it. You're still smoking" I tried. I gave it my best effort. You can't save people from themselves.

At least you tried. You can't do more than that!

We recently tightened our smoking policy restricting it to a designated area. Also have a no smoking policy in the cars. But vaping is still allowed in the office and cars. I do not see it changing unless someone starts doing something stupid like blowing clouds directly in front of the public. It's specifically allowed per se, it's just not specifically against policy.

These kids are crazy, I tell ya. I made them French Omelets with Bacon and French Toast for breakfast this morning - and they wanted Poptarts.

They started getting a little too curious about the juices, so I stopped talking about the flavors and just refer to them as "medicine"

My oldest (9) is such a sweetheart. Last week, I asked if she enjoyed that I don't smell horrible anymore and she genuinely didn't know what I was talking about. "Oh you mean the cigarettes? You didn't smell bad, but the cigarettes did, ya."
Serious question: I don't have kids, but I'm curious as to how you handle the liquids in the house with kids? I would be afraid of them smelling the liquids - which do smell delicious very often, and drinking it? My little sister polished off several bottles of my mom's perfume one day, because she liked the way it smelled. Is it an issue? Or did you sit them down and explain to them that the juice bottles are off limits? I don't even want to think about what swallowing even part of a 30ml bottle would do to a little kid's tummy!

I have a 1 year old and a almost 3 year old and I keep them high up but you know kids so I usually keep them in my bedroom cause my bedrooms locked at all times except when I'm sleeping my oldest doesn't want anything to do with it for some reason but I'm very thankfull that they make most in child proof lidsand that's a big plus cause when I smoked analogs he wold grab them off the counter and give them to little bro but that's why i switched to vaping and I don't want them grow up seeing me smoking but that's my 2 cents

I am Clerk of the Juvenile Court. I vape anywhere in our court offices. My Judge is thrilled with vaping! She always hated me smelling like cigarets! Now I have converted a couple of my lawyer friends to vaping. We were comparing the pros and cons of different tanks during a ten minute recess just today! My employees don't mind my vaping and yes, I did ask for their thoughts and opinions!:toast:
