Can you vape at work?

Officially, no I'm not supposed to. But I have an office to myself and am stealth about it.

I don't at my desk/cubie because I think it would just seem unprofessional. And I really don't go outside either since I really don't want to be around the smokers. So... I really don't all day long while I'm at work. The only thing I miss was the bit of time I got away from my desk when I'd go outside to smoke. Since I generally work through my lunch, smoking was hilariously, my only activity during the work day.

Why is it unprofessional? If you don't blow out huge clouds I don't see what the problem is.

I usually hold in the vapor until theres nothing left to blow out.. whats the harm?

In fact, most people around me LOVE the smell of the juices I use and think it makes the area around us smell nice

I get what you're saying, but there's no smoking in the building, and my cubicle is open... To clients who happen to be in the building. I know it's not smoke, but others associate it with smoke and I don't want to push it.

I could probably do it if I wanted to so let's just call it a personal decision

Yea I get that.. I work in a very very corporate environment.. but its just fellow co-workers and not any outside clients.. I wouldn't do it in front of clients either.. but when I'm by myself I say fair game until HR says something lol.

I can vape openly in the shop area at work, and I use my mod. Other guys smoke in there anyway. When I'm in the field, if I am stuck indoors I will occasionally stealth vape from an ego style.

I work in NYC. Legally, you shouldn't be vaping indoors. However, I do stealth vape, and there's really no way for anyone to know if you're careful about it.

I feel for your plight but I don't have much to offer in help I'm afraid. We have no laws specific to vaping here in Dublin, Ireland just yet but as we were "the first country to introduce fully smoke-free workplaces (March 2004)." as wikipedia confirms, the general response to vaping inside is negative and public transport companies are of course starting to talk about a ban.

I work on the 2nd floor and it sunny outside today I actually like going outside for a vape. Perhaps it's time for a career change or maybe take an evening class in stealth vaping?

I find if I hold in my vape for about 10 seconds, it lets out little to no vapor when I exhale. I would call that stealth vaping! lol

I work in an aircraft hangar and all my co-workers are happy that I have quit the stinkies. No-one has any problems with me vaping at work. They do, however, make fun of me for all the research I do when I am not buried in my work (which has been a lot lately). lol

I'm a Software Engineer and work for a Semi State Company and vape in my office as it's not banned, my manager does not smoke and has no problems with e-cigs or me vaping at my desk.

I live in upstate ny and they are getting very strict with the e cigarette laws. it's just vapor yall! lol make me so mad! its our right to vape!

Nope. I work in what's effectively a retail store, either as a maintenance guy, tire bay tech, or gas station... person. The only place I can vape is in the gas station, but even then I've gotta be careful cuz I'm always on camera.

I can vape at work but I work in a smoke shop with a cigar lounge so we have excellent ventilation, plus we sell some basic vaping equipment and liquids so it's no problem for me...

I can't say for certain that in my neck of the woods vaping has been outright banned or what, but there is one bathroom on the floor that I work that is just a single bathroom, so now I take frequent "bathroom breaks" whether I have to go or not.

working as a part time waiter. everyone vapes at the restaurant. thats what prolly got me hooked to this new hobby
