Can you vape with a burnt wick?

I bought a Pre filled THC vape Cart and the bottom part of the wick is burnt, i vaped most of the oil while it was burnt. I was wondering if their is any harmful effects?

its not oil.. its VG or PG or both... vaping with a burnt wick isnt hazardous but it sure tastes nasty

( but if you are vaping a true oil ( not water soluable) then you will have issues.

If you inhale the fumes from cotton as it IS burning then it is not only unpleasant but Im assuming it can be pretty damaging. Once the cotton is burnt however, I do not know what harmful effects there are....but it does taste nasty and its harmful effects are not the point for me, I just wont use it anymore and will rewick it(I use RDAs), if I were using a prefab tank with a burnt coil then Id replace the coil.

Also....I too vape PG/VG/nic and flavor concentrates...not oil

I would not advise vaping on a burnt wick/coil as you are actually burning the cotton or silica material, producing actual smoke. Also, the residue left behind by the juice on the coil is burning up as well. I suggest you go buy more coils and replace them frequenty - depending on how much you vape, it could be anywhere between 1-3 weeks until you change a coil.

If you haven't scorched it too badly then the burnt taste sometimes is gone on the next vape and you can continue using that coil. Burn it really badly then the burnt taste may even infuse the e liquid and you'll have to change the coil and the juice.
