i bought a j118 kit about 2.5 years ago, just as a novelty, and after trying it i thought it sucked. not much vapor, the flavor was nasty, and i thought it was a gimmick. i put the ecig in the closet.

fast forward to june 2011. a buddy of mine had quit smoking and was full time vaping for 8 weeks, and i thought i should probably revisit the world of PV's.

both my wife and i quit smoking the day we got our new PV's and have not desired to have an analog since. things have changed (for the better) so much in the world of "ecigs" in the last two years.

I was able to quit smoking the moment I got my ego, but everyone is different... And I have only had one major craving for an analog since I quit a month and a half ago, that one massive craving happened last week.... I vaped it away, but there was a twenty minute period where out of the blue I was seriously considering a smoke....

I almost quit smoking when I got mine. I had an almost full pack of cigarettes the day I bought my first kit (Aug 17) and I think there are 15 cigs left in the pack. For most of them I smoked 1/2 or less, then threw away. It's been fairly easy.

Sunday and yesterday I was feeling a little down and blue, but that could be other hormonal issues.

I've been vaping for a little over 2 weeks. I can't say I've completely quit the analogs yet. My husband still smokes, and I had a lot of trouble with the throat hit and vapor making me cough when I inhale. But I've still managed to cut down a lot. The first few days I went from 3/4 pack a day to 4-6 cigs a day. Then I had 2. Then I had 1. Then I went a couple of days without, but smoked on the weekend when I was with my husband. Went Mon-Thur last week without an analog and no cravings. Friday had a terrible craving, and after fighting it for about 4 hours I had an analog. That took care of it until Sunday, when I had one more. Yesterday I had one. So far today I'm doing well, no cravings. Another problem is that I don't have any flavors in the house that I like with a higher nic level than what I vape all day long (6 mg). I have some ordered but it's not here yet.

Sorry, I don't seem to be able to make short posts, LOL.

I stopped smoking the day I got my E-cig, 2/1/11. I had a pack of ciggy's in the freezer and a half a pack on my dresser, they are both still in the same exact spots. They haven't been touched. I didn't start getting real strong cravings until 6 months into vaping. It's been strange for some reason the cravings have been delayed. I think I'm about past the worst. Although it's tough sometimes after a big meal. those are always the strongest cravings.

I had one cigarette while I figured out how to get it vaping right (it was a crappy tiny model with annoying little carts) and I was done with cigarettes (except for 2 times in the first week when I had a no-battery emergency and each time I had 1/2 a smoke while I partially charged one battery, but after that happened I bought a ton of batteries and PCC and charger for at work too and PTs in case of battery emergency and never had another cig)

Ive been a smoker for 40 yrs, really tried hard last year, had the tablets, also on patches and still couldnt hack it and was having maybe 3 a day. My e-cig arived in the post 2 weeks ago today and I basically quit there and then. Amazed at how easy it was I had to keep pinching myself and have bragged to everyone. Iv had the odd puff of my hubbies ciggy just to prove to myself that Im cured and I definately am, I now hate the taste of an analog and have to wash my hands immediately cause I can smell it so strongly now. I love my e-cig, how cool is that :)
