my protege is in the post but heres the thing....its an 801 protege

ive asked on classifieds if anyone has a 901/510 adaptor...a few replies but still none to buy and itll be here in a day or two....arghhh

so do i go ahead and order 801 attys and carts?

ps. ecigs.co.uk r out of adaptors at the mo to make things worse...can i get them anywhere else????


does anyone use 801s on their protege???any use til i get my 510/901 adaptors...ideally want a 901/kr8 adaptor but no one seems to have those for sale either???

anyone any ideas on what to do???looks like my protege is gonna get here n be unusable!!!

The protege will just be the same as a stock baterry at threshold but hold it's charge longer. I'd get the 801 atty and cart while your waiting for adapters to be restocked. At least that way you can use it and experience the 801 also.

I have a VAPRE 51 which uses similar batteries as the Protege. It has an 801 connector on it and I do have an adapter for a 510 atty. I tried both and I stick with the 801. Not quite as much throat hit as a 510 but the taste is much better IMO. The Chuck I have coming is for an 801 too. The only attys I ever use are 801s and 401s when I'm out and about.
Oh, and the adapter I got came from Truesmoker when I got the VAPRE 51.

I use HV 801 Atty's and they totaly kick out vapor and flavor in my opinion way better then the 510/901 and think you will be happy with this choice once you try it

I got my protege with a 901, then ordered the 801 a week later. The 801 apparently shorted my switch (twice according to PS), but both times they fixed it rather quickly. I saw someone else calling the 801 a vapor monster, and decided to give my new one another go. I guess PS was right.. the first one sucked, it made vapor, but having never used an 801, I just thought it wasn't impressive. The one I have on now is IMO better than the 510. It gives great vapor, good TH, and dripping 3 drips a time seems to be perfect (I should've known something was wrong with my first one when it leaked juice everywhere with just 3 drips).

In all, 801 is solid if you get a good atty.
