Hi everyone
I have been vaping for 1 1\2 yrs and never can taste the flavor. Except a flavor called Unicorn Blood from Fuzion Vaper taste like jolly rancher cherry. I have tried 50\50 70vg\30pg and I am trying 70pg \ 30vg now with not much luck. Have heard of trying double flavor ' is it harsher? or if you know of some very strong flavors please let me know. Dont care what kind as long as it is not menthol or tobbaco. Thanks to all

Well you have been vaping much longer than I have but let may ask which tank are you using?I'm sure you know way more than I do about this but I've certainly noticed so far it's not always the juice, rather sometimes the set up . I bought a house juice once from juicity vapor was a strawberry and cream my second bottle ever. The first bottle I never tasted any flavor so I went with a double shot of flavor. Not impressed . About a week later I bought a new tank the aspire cleito I think. And wow , so much flavor I actually never finished the bottle. Was way too intense like toothache sweet strawberry and cream. Brand is called killer kloudz. Kinda cheesy all named after serial killers. Thus one was the ramirez I think lol.

Many newer vapers have trouble tasting e-liquid flavors. Years of smoking had damaged the taste buds on the tongue. For most of these folks, staying away from smoking allowed the taste buds to eventually heal. I'm not so sure that your case applies here as you've probably been off of the smokes for a year and a half, right?

I worked in a vape shop for a year, and one of my favorite customers was an older chap who could only taste cinnamon flavors. He allegedly had been off smokes for a couple of years but still smoked herbal substances.

I suggest trying some cinnamon (either spicey or hot), mint, or menthol flavors, as these are the strongest known flavors.

On occasion I get the 'not tasting' my ejuice. When that happens, what has helped me was using a cup of warm water and salt. Used as a mouth wash/gargle kind of thing. There has to be enough salt so that you really taste it, but be sure not to swallow it. This can also be used to help with colds and sinus problems(post nasal drip). I do that a couple times a day for a few days (vaping unflavored while doing so). When I go back to my reg flavors, I can taste everything again.

Thanks for the input I am using the Cleito also with a 50w battery and the .4 ohm coil running at 45w . I will have to try some of those flavors

Welcome and glad you joined. I had a similar problem. I now DIY and tailor the mix to my taste. Some folks have great taste buds and some great minds, I guess we fall in the second category.

I will vape menthol juice, eat hot peppers, drink more water to taste again. People might call it vapors tongue, but you seem to have chronic vape tongue.

Yea I usually use menthol liquids to shock the tastes buds usually works for me, but I've never had vapers tongue that long.

I would like to know what your setup is. I had a similar experience as you. I smoked for nearly 40 years and when I started vaping I went for menthol juices because I had smoked menthol cigs. Most of the menthol juices I vaped had little or no flavor to me until I discovered Halo Sub Zero. I got a good strong menthol hit with Sub Zero. I was using a Kayfun clone on an eLeaf iStick 30 at 1.8 ohms and 10 watts or 11 watts. I was a MTL vaper. No other juice had any flavor at all to me.

A couple of months ago I graduated to a mod that pumps out 75 watts and a sub ohm dual coil tank. I started DL vaping at 60 watts and dual coils at .2 ohms. Sub Zero was suddenly way too strong. I went to a vanilla custard juice and I had flavor for days! If I want a bigger flavor hit I switch to my RDA at .16 ohms and power it with my 220 watt mod at 80-90 watts.

Since I transitioned to my current setups I have been enjoying vaping more than ever. I have more flavor and as a result much more enjoyment, and even though I am not a cloud chaser, I am having some fun blowing some huge clouds.

If you are not vaping MTL at lower ohms and higher watts, you might want to give it a try. Keep in mind that I am not a cloud crazy vape fanatic, I am a 64 year old middle class dude who just likes to vape and if I vape I want me some flavor.

When flavor goes south, i rewick. Comes back every time.
You can also buy just flavors. LA, Capella, FA, etc. Beware, you are on your way to DIY..
I have also gone to DIY. If for no other reason it means that I can always have juice on hand that I like to vape. I can't tell you how many times I went to pick up a bottle of juice at my local B&M only to find that they were out of it. Now I always have at least 450ml of good juice at my disposal.

Yea having 240ml steeping while having 240 ml to vape is great.
