can't get the flavor

rebuilt my Chimbus with microcoils and cotton, can't get the same flavor as the same build on a trident. I am using dual microcoils with cotton, lined up with the airholes bored out to 3/32.

any suggestions? could it be the airhole placement?I have lots of vapor but no tast, it all tasted very bland. Oh well I am gong to experiment with it some more but any suggestions aside from a rebuild? My build workds great with the trident with lots of vape and flavor...

My understanding is opening up the air holes is for more vapor and flavor will drop off as a result of it. Try moving the air holes slightly off the center of the coils and you might get some flavor back.

People swear by cotton but honestly I've never had a good taste on any device with cotton, I'm going back to silica. I feel it has a sharper taste and especially for fruit flavors... Just my opinion, I've tried all sorts of cotton including organic but with no luck.
