I purchased wild blueberry, vanilla, strawberry, and cotton candy. Has any one had an issue with the flavors being too strong or weak?
I use the ejuicemeup calculator and have mixed a blueberry at 20% a vanilla at 20% a strawberry at 16% and a cotton candy at 16%. All seem to have a nasty taste. I am using a 50/50 18mg base....Please any and all replies welcome.

i usually make my juice with a 10% flavoring and adjust from there some flavors use less some more but i start around 10% and see what its like from there hope this helps

i use mostly flavor apprentice flavorings so maybe try starting with less and adding as needed ive had some of their flavorings use as little as 2% for 10ml bottle of liquid

You didn't mention what verdor's flavorings you used, the brand can make a big difference. That said your percentages would seem to be way too high, in general 10% is the maximum for any flavor, most are about 5%. Too much flavoring can kill the flavor and / or give them a off taste.

Check out the DIY forum, and read through the stickeys, there's a load of great information in there.

p.s. Welcome to ECF....:toast:

Really?! That just seems so low to me. But also makes sense, they did have a harsh vape to them...hmm

I ordered all flavors from ejuice4u. I think I shall mix a single flavor at 10% and trial error the difference between the 2. Thanks, I will read up a little more too.

Strawberry (ripe) tastes friggin terrible. I threw so much of it away. Adding it to other flavors made the others taste nasty too. For blueberry, I bought some sweetener PG and it came out a lot better but still a little weird. I haven't tried sweetening up strawberry (ripe) yet but I'll try when I get home. Its just sitting there collecting dust. I'm not too fond of Flavor Apprentice so far.

I'm right there with you.....my friend got his flavors from Flavor West I think...every one of them turned out spot on.

I gotta check them out then. I'd hate to throw money away but when i try strawberry again and it turns out nasty as sin then I'ld have wasted pg and vg too :/ I'll let you know how it goes in about 2 hours. Wish me luck. Haha

I use the strawberry (Ripe) at 15-20% but the trick I found out is a long and I mean long steep time then it tastes fantastic. Some of my mixes sit for a month or more. At first 1-2 weeks not very good 3-4 week getting much better. 5-6 weeks fantastic. I just have enough juice to vape so when I mix my flavors they sit open for a day then in the Bat Cave for a month before I even taste them. That is after I mix sample flavors to find out what I like. With me its about flavor and a long steep. I know some people can't wait that long but that's what I found out that works for me. I take my mixes to vape shops and most want me to bring bottles for them to sell. Just play around with it and you will find out what works for ya Enjoy DIY!!

I gave up. Tried so many different percentages using 50/50 vg/pg and just failed. Lastly, I tried a 5ml 50/50 mix using 2 drops strawberry (ripe) at a time. Still ended up tasting really weird. I ended up dumping it down the drain and called it a loss. Hey, at least I got an empty drip bottle to use for my premium big bottle juices. LoL.

LoL. I'm cheap but not that cheap. 6 weeks is a long time for me to wait on a juice. Maybe I'll try it with the blueberry (wild) since I still have that. I'll just have to hide the bottle because if its anywhere near my sight, I wanna vape it.
