cant see my pic when I post

I uploaded a pic that I want shown when I put a new post up, but it is still not there, is it just that I can not see it and others can ? I see it in my profile, but not on my posts,,Im new here ,sorry if this is silly, but I want a pic posted !! thanks for your help

You uploaded a profile pic. Those show in your profile. What shows in your posts is called an Avatar. You have to upload them separately.
