Are you using single or dual and both coils do it in dual? Kanthal? Guage? Other than squeezing a kanthal coil, pulsing it as well as strumming tends to help mine. Maybe a few more details would help.

dual coil billow v2. 26awg 6 wraps 0.42ohms kanthal..

the heat is even.. just that it looks like its heating up ( the starting point of the heat is slightly to the left and not centre. )
