Can't stay logged in

Suddenly I can't stay logged in and need to sign in every time. I don't know if this is a site issue or could be something on my end?

I haven't run into this issue with any other forum that I'm on, but I have recently started using a paid VPN.

Maybe a dumb question, but are you checking the box?

I'm only asking because I've done that.

Of course that depends on which theme you're using. The new one doesn't require a checkbox to "Remember Me", but the others do.

Ya I've done that too (forgotten). It's embarrassing how any times. The first thing I check.
This time I got in with no problem. I've never changed themes. Too busy to fiddle.
I think the problem is on my end. New security settings that don't allow tracking, history, etc.
Old browser, new browser. I'm still fussing with it. Ugh.
There's been a few times login problems were site hiccups, so I wasn't sure.

Have you done the next obvious thing?: Logged out, cleared recent history and cookes from the browser, logged back in?

If it persists I seem to recall something rare that can happen on the ECF end of things with a cookie for an account being "stuck".

The old browser works fine. The new one I guess is "stealth" and doesn't accept anything. I just don't know why there's no issue in other forums, but there is in here. Let's face it. I don't want to know anymore than I have to about this stuff. If I have to get a tatoo with all my passwords, so be it.

Which browser is giving you the problem? Version number too if you know.

Check the advanced settings to ensure your cookies aren't being deleted after you close the browser.

Of course they are deleated. That's the very definition of "stealth".
I'm slow but figuring this out. One user "plays" on the web that is visable to all and another user is business.
Just tested Opera Turbo. Wow. That is fast.

Now my issue is with Cox blocking all ports to OpenVPN. Customers aren't allowed to encrypt? I thought that was illegal (Comcast). This is beyond ECF stuff, but a disturbing trend nonetheless. A couple of others are reporting the same thing. I can't change DNS (OpenNIC). How dare they!

OT, but if anyone thinks there's potential for a black market they are mistaken with this crap.

Yup. That's why I'm seperating into multiple users now based on my useage.
I'm not liking what I'm learning about security.
