Well, I'm not sure how well the TC works on the Evic, but I've heard TC on the IPV4 works well. The IPV4 is much bigger. With the IPV4, you get 100W to play with instead of 60W... You also can replace the batteries on the IPV so I would go for the IPV4.

However, there have been a few instances of people's IPV4's catching fire because of the charge board... Among other issues.

I had a similar decision between the IPV4 and the Snow Wolf 200W. I went with the Snow Wolf.

I'm hesitant to recommend the ipv4. I really love mine, but it's having an issue. There is a small percentage of devices(mine included) that are having insulation problems with the charge board. Causes the batteries to drain very unevenly. I'm having to send mine back to my vendor for repairs(I miss it already:() But I would miss my hand, face etc. more if I continued to use it as is.

I've read of problems with the IPV4 autofiring when powered off and batteries installed, it will fire for a second or two. Also, I've read problems of the charging port causing problems and some cases causing a fire. On ECR a lot of the guys with an IPV4 are removing the charge board. That said, I really dig the Siegeli's :D

Mine is a Black. The problem is not from using the on-board charger. The problem is that the charge board is touching the top screw post and/or 510 pin with poorly installed insulation. This is causing an uneven battery discharge. It could easily be fixed with some electrical tape. But just in case I'm wrong, I'm sending it in. (I did look inside, and yes, the screw post is badly insulated.)

Thank you for the advice im going to have look inside to see what you talking about so the board is touching 510 which is causing a short of some sort to cause it to burn up or catch fire as others stated also i would to take the mod completely apart to see this now what exactly am i looking for

Check YouTube. There are at least 2 videos on this. Very easy fix. You don't have to take the whole thing apart. Just pull out the charge board, put a piece of electrical tape where the it's close to the 510 and the top screw post. That's all you need to do.
