Coming direct from Tom - "Yes they are free of Acetoin as well" - which applies to v2 of Vanilla Custard & v2 of French Vanilla. I don't have any reports to show that they are free of the chemicals, so I'm taking his word on it right now. That said, the whole initiative behind the v2 releases was to be completely free of these chemicals, so it'd be a lose to them if they were present. I am going to make a request to see if they can provide documentation, though for now, that's what I'm going on.

The following will also be coming soon in "v2" fashion:

Coconut
Fudge Brownie
Double Chocolate

...and as far as new flavors, which will also be marked free of these chemicals;

Passionfruit
Hibiscus
Juicy Orange
Grapefruit
Cantaloupe
Blue Raspberry Cotton Candy.

Crispy Bacon

Those sound awesome!

Thanks Jonathan!

Just ordered 4oz direct from Capellas....kinda bummed that I just got 4oz of V1 from ecigexpress last week though. :(

I'd PIF but not sure how I feel about giving people flavorings that I deemed harmful enough to not use myself.

Pick me, pick me :) Hey, I'm 60, how bad can it be. :toast:

No problem - Don't feel bad though, I have 3x VC's, 2x FC's and 1x of each of the others with them in it and I've been slowly paying some of it forward here locally, but giving each of them fair warning in case they would prefer to not vape flavors with those chemicals. I hate buying small bottles unless the flavors have next to no reviews, so I dove in with Capella's. Some good, some bad (Pom is probably the worst next to Double Chocolate....shewwww....lol), but that's how it is with all vendors :).

so far I havent had to adjust any recipes for it. its pretty much exactly the same taste, the chemically taste is not there and doesnt need the steep time V1 did to get rid of that initial taste. I was to impatient for any steeping when I first got it. just warmed it a little with hot tap water shook it up and vaped away. it is better the next day or 2 but I dont count that as steeping really. I keep going back to it plain at 10% I liked V1 plain but V2 is better alone. I think anyways . both are awesome as always lol:vapor:
wllmc, how does the flavor profile compare to the v1, i.e. would you replace it in recipes at the same %?

Has a horrible "plasitcy" after-taste that I just can't stand. Not for me!

I've been doing a comparison between V1 and V2 and that's exactly what I thought too.

The difference in colour is immediately apparent, with V1 giving my e-liquid a light golden hue and V2 keeping it more or less transparent at 15-20%. Taste-wise, V1 is richer and eggier while V2 is noticeably more saccharine-sweet.

Interestingly, my V2 blend after a hot water bath looks exactly like my V1 blend fresh off the mixing table. It then transitions to a light orange with a subsequent 3-4 days of caps-off steeping (as does V1). The flavour also improves a lot and the "plasticy" taste is not as apparent, although it's still there.

Overall, my preferred steep time for V2 is a bit longer, and even then there are significant differences. I much prefer the taste of V1, but given the absence of AP in V2, I think I'll be sticking with the latter.
