I would like to know this as well.

What I can tell you is that on the hcigar version the firing pin is in the m5 x 0.8 flavor...although it's been very little help to me trying to find one of those ANYWHERE locally, or the ability to buy less than 10 or 25 online. I am currently getting by with a brass 10/32 bit that I had to modify the hell out of. It works but it's less than ideal.

Have really scoured pretty good and come up with nothing as far as replacement pins though. Only thing I've seen is one for the GG Paps, which I think will be considerably too long for this purpose.

Where did you find them online? I would be willing to pick some up

I believe my first post may have been somewhat misleading (and potentially moreso due to autocorrect on my phone :p). I meant I was able to find m5x0.8 brass bolts and screws -- which can then be modified for the purpose. Based on the pin that came with mine...all that would be _necessary_ would be to cut an appropriate length of threaded brass. With the 10/32 BOLT that I modified, I took a hex top brass bolt and shaved the top way down to about 1mm thick to be a nice contact. Then cut the shank to length and voila...a decent contact.

Even the m5x0.8 bolts were hard to come by online...I can come up with a link if that's what you were looking for. I actually ordered some from fastenal locally...but they've been ....ing me over for a solid month now. I haven't called up there since last Monday so I will try again tomorrow. If I do get my hands on them and anybody needs one shoot me a PM and I can probably mail 'em off.

I'm not entirely sure how long the ones they [supposedly] ordered for me are supposed to be, but I would guess you could at least make 2-3 pins out of the shank probably. The issue is that even the original Caravela came with 3 different pins...so while the one I currently have works fine for 18650, I get rattle with the other tubes, and the contact isn't good on some of my batteries.

I did also find that the 510 pin from a HCigar Nemesis clone appears to be the proper threading, but it is significantly too long, and the head on it is too thick. If Fastenal falls through I may just hack that thing up as well. Shame to trash the silver plating though (I use that Nemesis in Hybrid with a 3D so I don't actually need it).

Or somebody could just start selling the damn pins. I know some of the clones come with multiples...would be nice if Fasttech would be more diligent about selling parts kits for all this crap. Same goes for switch magnets and stuff. I can't bring myself to pay like $8 off ebay for some magnets I will probably break in short order.

I know this is entirely my own fault for not doing more research before I purchased my clone, but I too am in the same boat and I don't have all the tools to make these modifications. I am headed to my local b & m to see if they have some flat tops that will work. I hate the length of the pin but more so the fact that when I put a topper on the pin moves and ends up auto firing. Guess all this just means I need to buy a dremel and hunt down some screws and a caliper and learn to make modifications. Man my wife is gonna kill me for spending even more money on Vaping. Lol dose anyone know what the length of the original screws are or where I can find that info? I have been looking with no luck.

The originals I do not know. You won't be able to find anything that short though. Finding brass m5's locally has proven impossible, but nemesis pins fit, but will require dremeling/filing/or other method of modification for length. Also you will need multiples for perfect function with all three tube sizes.

I chose hex head 10/32 brass bolts and ground down the hex head after cutting the bolt to length. It works.

Good luck.

Would you mind telling the the lengths you cut them to? I have been looking all over for the screws and you are right I can't find them anywhere. Did find some on Amazon so will probably order some from there. Gonna end up going to buy a dremel so I can cut them down. I have a garage full of tools but of course nothing to do this with. Go figure. Got a caliper today to help with measuments. Sure this will be a great mod once I mod it. Lol so far I like it though.

any update on this? i bought a wickedly cheap (and apparently low quality) brass caravela and it didnt come with ANY extra pins or anything. the one thats in it now doesnt seem very efficient and is long enough that its denting my flat tops on my batteries as well as not allowing me to thread the bottom fire button on all the way. that among other things that i wont discuss here, i wish i hadnt even bought it. :/

I had a Caravela for a while. You can always bring your mod to a hardware store, find a small brass bolt that turns nicely and fits well, then simply cut the bolt head off and clean it up, instant pin. You can buy a few and cut them all to different sizes.

likely what i'll end up doing, just wanted to avoid the "effort" lol.
