Hey,
I bought my first setup at a local smoke shop about 3-4 months ago and have decided now that they aren't the best place to go. I bought a Carolina Flavor Ego CE9 with a T2 tank. This is the 3rd tank I've had. The first one I found out after 3 weeks of use was a disposable style so I upgraded the tank. In two weeks the mouthpiece broke off and because of no warranty, I had to buy another. Now that one is getting liquid down at the bottom of the tank around the metal part like the glue is giving out. Plus I've bought a replacement wick with the wire missing out of it. Had to take it apart before I found out why it wasn't working. I've looked here and googled some things and it looks like this is a generic that had a name screenprinted on it before it went retail. This is a pic of it. Find CE9 T2 Atomizer Replacements Today | Carolina Flavor

So, I'm not good with spelling out questions but my concerns is how I'm not getting customer service from the store nor the vendor and feel like I'm getting ripped. What can I do? Where can I go? Are the online stores selling the CE9 T2 tanks the same as what I have? Any advice is helpful. Thanks!

A CE9 is just another name for a clone of a kangertech t3, now updated to the Kanger T3s (polycarb tube) or MT3s (metal tube). I would go with a kanger protank, glass tank. They use the same heads as the kanger t3s or EVOD's and they work flawlessly. Had mine for a couple months and have had no issues with leaking or anything. Or, get some kanger EVOD's if the $16-$19 protank is too expensive. I did not like the T3 cause it had issues but I haven't tried the t3s which uses evod/protank heads and is supposedly upgraded to not leak... Hope this helps. All the different brands and clone names get confusing cause all merchants label them differently. Fasttech.com has real kanger protanks for $12.20 right now and free shipping they ship next day anywhere in world. Just got mine in the mail. Took about a week. They also sell a clone protank from kamry that I heard is good but haven't tried for $6-$8. Heres a link to the protank I got and is genuine kanger

Good luck.

EDIT: EDIT:
The CE9 pictured in the link is actually a clone of a kanger t2 which has wicks and is top coil. you can replace the heads for cheap. gotvapes is a good place to get them. But, as I mentioned above, the Protank is the way to go. See how you like it. Protank, T3, and EVOD are all bottom coil clearos by the way.

Store re-branding
or in the case of e-liquids, possible house blends.
Vapor Room mixes all their House label juices and many are excellent.

Yeah it gets really annoying. Especially because of the fact that new vapers don't know any better, so it confuses them. They may be misled by the re-branding to purchase crappy clones instead of genuine gear and not even know they are clones. So, then it tarnishes there view on the product even though they have not truly experienced the product. I think it is a part of why there are so many people who have so many different opinions on whether a tank/clearo/carto... is good or bad.

Thanks for the quick replies. I don't mind paying if I get a quality item that has a lifespan of more than a month. It sounds like I was on the right track with my thinking and I'm happy y'all confirmed. I found a Volcano rep locally through another thread and I'm going to talk to them before I make a big transition. I'll buy another 2-week wick to get me by until then.

well each coil head on the protank/evod get me about a week of moderate vaping. I have heard of people getting much longer, so YMMV. However, you can replace the head's for like $1.60 each without having to buy a whole new tank. I rebuild the heads for even cheaper, but I recommend not doing that until you are a little further down the road...

I am sorry you had problems with the atomizer. CE9 is a generic term throughout the industry. Kanger, themselves, refers to the T2's, not T3's, as CE9's. What you had was probably not a Kanger T2, or maybe it was. Kanger outsources many of their components just so you know. Carolina Flavor distributes many Kanger products that we buy direct from the manufacturer, in addition to many other manufacturer models. There are many components and processes that Kanger has "cloned" from other manufacturers, some of which were patented by Han Lik in 2000 or as far back Herbert A. Gilbert in 1963. While we believe Kanger is a great company, they hardly have a monopoly on quality and did not invent the atomizer. We have had lots of returns from Kanger products. It's just impossible to make an error free product with so many variables. We screen print products for return purposes. Some people have Vivi Nova's, ProTank, etc, that are from Carolina Flavor and may or may not be screen printed, it depends on the vendor. We do not offer a consumer warranty on atomizers. There is too much "user error" involved to warranty an atomizer. Different batteries and liquids all play a factor in the durability of an atomizer. If the atomizer breaks in the store we replace it for the store owner, but after it leaves the store it is no longer exchangeable. A good vendor will cover you under his exchange program, but typically, weeks down the road, they will not. An $8 atomizer will not last forever. We do not offer warranties on wick or coil replacements either. We do, however, offer 6 month consumer warranties on batteries. I am sorry for your experience as I have had similar ones myself, but my suggestion is don't stick with one device, one atomizer, one liquid..... Variety is the spice of life!

Sincerely,
Hampton

Hey Carolina Flavor,
Thanks for reaching out to me. My issue isn't with CF really. It's with the poor service I've received from your local Apex rep. I get the feeling that the she doesn't know how to sell to ensure repeat business. Her lack of education or should I say her lack of her educating me caused me a lot of frustration regarding what I had bought. Maybe you can offer pamphlets for her to distribute with your product to overcome the issues?
