I saw threads about carrying cases...but they were for either massive setups or for just carrying a batt and a carto and maybe a charger. I would like to see pics of peoples's carrying cases. I am looking to something better than what I currently have : https://sphotos-b.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash4/s320x320/421167_4091724090426_1422789601_n.jpg That is mostly blu cartos and a Cig 2 O usb charger. Plus got the blu wall charger thrown in my purse. (am going to change from the blu brand) But still am looking for a reasonably sized case that holds different chargers. Show off your pics!:p

These eGo cases work for a lot of people. This is a large (not my picture). I had a small sized one and it worked well for carrying a couple batteries, juices, and backup atties. Looks like the large one holds chargers well.

Then there are the diabetic organizers.. Meant to hold medical gear, testing supplies. They have lots of pouches and zippers. Just search Amazon or google.

And there's my current setup. I can't tell you where to buy this, because it was a gift from my (previous) employer a couple years ago. A travel mouse and set of speakers came in it. I find the pouch much more useful. Holds an insane amount of stuff. I keep 4 batteries for my Reo, 4 batteries for my backup box mod, a 30ml bottle of liquid (could hold more), backup atty, carto, and drip tip in that plastic baggie.

(Wallet for size reference).

That ought to give you some ideas..

Oh and those little nylon zipper pouches with the batteries are only a couple bucks (2-3) from rtdvapor. They come with a keychain ring and will hold juice bottles or cartos too.

I'm a bookbinder by trade, and I've been thinking about making a carrying case for my 901's that looks like a tiny leather-bound book. I made such a case for my wife's iPhone and she loved it. The tricky part is going to be coming up with a way to keep the "box" part of the case rigid, and still light-weight and thin.

Perhaps an Altoids box with the lid taken off for the "chassis" of this "book-case", and the leather covered boards epoxied to that, and then some sort of custom-cut foam liner with thin elastic straps for the interior to hold all the little bits...

Yes, I will get RIGHT on this project this weekend. Stay tuned...

The Ego cases are nice and durable. I used them for awhile but they weren't quite long enough to hold a mod with a good sized tank and drip tip on it. Thanks to a good ECF friend, I've been using this zippered carrying case that actually fits up to three mod setups in it and has a pocket for notes and a pen. :D

I *love love love* this idea. I am a bit jealous of the "BookBook" cases for iPhone, alas I carry Android devices.

If you pulled one off, I would be very jealous, but PLEASE come back and show pictures!!!!

I've handled the "BookBook" iPhone and laptop cases--and they are cool idea, but as a bookbinder, (and someone who puts their laptop and iPhone cases through absolute HELL on a daily basis) they are not made very well, and are not terribly protective or durable (at least not by my standards).

I'll post pics of my "iPhone Book Case" soon, to give you an idea of what I did, and where my thinking is headed...

Pics of my iPhone "phone book" case that I made for my sweetie.

I apologize for the scuffs on the spine. She left it on the roof of her rental car when she was visiting her daughter in Oahu last month, and didn't realize it was up there until they stopped suddenly when some stupid driver cut them off in traffic--at speed. It went flying off the car at about 35mph onto the asphalt and the leather got pretty scuffed up. But the iPhone survived completely unscathed...

Wow, that is gorgeous. Yes, I happen to be jealous just like I thought I would be. Now i have to think of a way to fabricate one.....

Thanks.

Well, making something like this isn't as easy as it looks. Remember, I'm a professional bookbinder, with about a decade of practice, and a LOT of very specialized tools and materials.

Maybe after I get the prototype made up this weekend for my 901s, I might consider taking some commissions, to help fund my new "HHV" and "Alice in Vapeland" habit... :p

I know it might be blasphemy to book lovers, but I am wondering about carving a nook into the inner pages of a book, ala "book safe"

This could be done too--an "altered book" in the official terminology of the modern "book arts" world. The difficulty of these "book safes" is making the case part of the book (the part that used to be the pages) solid and sturdy. If you're going to carve the paged out, you need to paste them together after you cut the hole in the book block, which is a LOT trickier than it sounds, and usually requires a LOT of trimming and sanding after the pages are all glued together...
