wish i could help you out, but i'm all new to this too... one thing for sure is that i cleaned my carts and they are still wet and this is day 3 for them. i blew into them on my hand and there was some mist coming out, not much though and i could see around the edges that they looked like they were still a little damp. but it does sounds like it might of had some moisture in the cart yet... hopefully someone with more experience can help you...
I'm a little confused. Was 18 drops all you could fit before the carto overfilled? If yes then the carto wasn't dry. I usually can still get moisture out of a carto for about a week after washing. A 2 week wait usually yields dry cartos. When a cartos is completely dry I can fit 28 -30 drops in a regular and premium cartos.
When I wash cartos I blow out all the water I can then put them in my toaster oven at 170 for about 20 minutes. Sit overnight and they seem to perform like new.
You'll never see a vid from me but if you look up nilius vid on carto cleaning its the same. Except after blowing them out, i put them in the oven for a bit instead of just letting them air dry. I have carts that I bought in April, refilled probably half a dozen times between washings, and washed 3 or 4 times that still work well. Not many mind you but some. Most of mine I just throw out instead of washing a 2nd time. So about 10-15ml of juice used I'd say before I throw them. And they still work, just not as well.
I just lay them down on the rack. Keep a little space between them all and set it at convection/170 degrees/20 minutes. I usually do about 40 cartos at a time and they all fit on the rack with no problems and room between them all.

They have dried good I use my blow dryer to finish them up I can get 20 to 24 drops in my premium and 25 to 27 in the coolcart they are longer then the premium. But I do have a toaster over at my other place will have to try that. I just clean some froom KK video will take them up there and try it. thanks
I had the same problem then I made one minor change. I know the youtube video shows the guy filling up his V4L cartos from the mouth (white cap) end. This didn't work for me. I would fill it, do the spin, add a few drops more...they just leaked or didn't vape at all.
So the V4L website recommends you fill from the battery end. Ok, I try that using the condom method. I did 11 drops in the clear cover, inserted the battery end in, then 4 drops in the top to moisten the batting. Replaced ring and white cap and VOILA! Works like a charm now. Flavor and vape!
