Been vapin this carto for 3 days - refilled a few times. I am noticing that its starting to heat up more now (almost uncomfortable on the lips) is this an early indicator of death? Its still producing well... BTW - I just refilled it so I am wondering if I overfilled it and there is just an excess of liquid around the atty coil. hmmm.

How many refills do y'all get before the cartos totally gone?

Im not sure i would call it near the end as much as just some carts seem to come this way. I have gotten some right out of the box like this. When they are like this i just save the white cap and seal and throw it away. I have carts i have refilled 20+ times and never get hot so im not sure its a death issue so much you get good ones and you get a few bad ones. I had one today just completely stop working. I believe it was my fault. I think i took to long a drag on a 6v mod and it just burned the atomizer wires right off. It was a great cart. It had my nuport in it and i vaped it everyday. But that is the first time i have ever done that.

Im just happy to get 3+ uses from the carts. After all they are suppose to be disposable so any extra useage is just win win.

I do not know about them 'being near death'... I have been using some cartos now for over 3 months and refilling them over and over again. One thing you might want to check is if the center tube inside the carto is actually centered. I have found that when the center tube gets off center, the side of the carto can get very hot. I just use a straightened out paper-clip and realign the center tube... this has worked for me on all but va very few cartos. I would suggest giving this a try before you give your carto it's last rites.

Has anyone ever had a cartomizer produce a think and steady flow of smoke/vapor out of the mouth-tip of a manual when pressing the button while not sucking on it?

It seems like half of mine end up doing that by the time that I get done with them and I usually center the tube every time I fill. I think that it's the filler stuff inside burning.

Sounds more like the cart needs refilling to me! But I do notice if I refill too much the juice get hot..not comfortable.

I think I must have overfilled it. So I then tried the rinsing trick - man, that works great! Yep, rinsed it out/blew it out and refilled (not as much this time) and she is vaping like a champ! I also noticed that the atty coil was slightly off center - I am guessing that this along with being hella-overfilled contributed to the heat issue.

Thanks all! I think these cartos might be the berries for me.;)
