Kinda curious, I have been vaping with Cartos for the last 2 weeks and I'm really enjoying it. Got tons of info from members on this forum and I'd have to say I'm very thankful. A question I have is, I'm using the Boge laser slotted LR Cartos which are 2.0 ohms, and vaping then in a ibtank, with a MVP 2.0. My setting are 4 Volts amd 7.5 watts. Flavor seems pretty good and vapor production is good, my question is, are those the ideal settings. I'm using good life vapor liquid at the standard pg/vg ratio, should I turn the voltage or wattage up any more then what it is. Just don't want to burn the carto so that's why I'm asking. I also just ordered the SR 3.0 ohm version also just to try, just want to make sure I'm getting the most out of everything.

Any advice will be greatly appreciated, Thanks again everyone...........

4V at 2.0Ω is 8 watts. If you're reading 7.5W for 4V, your cartos are slightly higher than 2.0Ω, which isn't uncommon. You're at about the maximum I use when vaping the Boge LR 510 cartos on a VV/VW device--seven to eight watts. Delicate juices may burn at that setting and you may find more flavor in other juices at a lower setting. These cartos are a good resistance for unregulated mechanical mods, as well.

If you're always going to have access to a higher voltage regulated (VV/VW) mod, you can use the 3.0Ω SR at 4.9V to get the same 8 watts you get with the 2.0Ω LR at 4.0V. The drain on the battery is identical (batteries store energy in watt-hours, even though often rated in amp-hours). The LR are usable on lower voltage devices and mechs, where the SR are too weak.

You can't really burn a well primed and fully wet carto. So feel free to turn up the watts in small increments. If you experience a burnt taste, you have reached just above the max watts that the mixture of ejuice and resistance can handle. Your carto is still good. Just back the watts down a click or 2.

For me, I am finding that using higher resistance (ohms) cartos is working better than lower ones. I am finding that I can get better flavor and vapor at lower watts with 3 ohm cartos than with 2.2 ohm.

IMO best resistance is partially based on your mod, for example the MVP provides the most stable power with 2ohm resistance. It seems to work fine with a 1.7-1.8ohm single coil set at 7watts. A 1.5ohm dual coil was "ok" at closer to 9watts but IMO it was really pushing the limitations of the device.

My preference is 2ohm plus or minus .3ohms.
