Smok Tech makes them. I know smok tech carto's generally suck, but these seem pretty interesting. I have heard they offer a much longer life (basically a SS mesh wick) than a traditional carto.

From the item description

These are SmokTech DCT 1.5 Ohm dual coil -atomizers- (not cartomizers). Inside is a dual coil setup -without- any polyfill material inside. Instead the DCT atomizer has a metal mesh which surrounds the atomizer cup and feeds liquid to the coils.

Three holes in the atomizer sleeve ensure that plenty of juice reaches the mesh without causing flooding.

NO MORE TEDIOUS PRIMING! Simply install the atomizer in your tank, fill the tank and drip about 6 drops of liquid directly inside the atomizer. Done and vape! - See more at: Smoktech replacement DCT atomizer - 1.5 Ohm

I have seen or heard of them but I am stuck in my ways of the cartomizer. Priming isn't so tedious for me. Tootpick in hole, add juice, blow into it until juice is absorbed. Repeat until the dual puched holes are "crying" then one more time. Takes all of two minutes. I have a tool I use to change a carto without emptying my tank. I should probably blog this eh?

There should be an option to edit on the bottom right hand corner. I've used smoktech cartomizers and I really liked the huge ones on my eGos. I might give those a try. Can you drop them in the cartomizer tanks, and just use them instead?

Yep, seems like you can just drop a few drops down the barrel, slide it into your tank, fill it up and go.

Its not so much difficult for me to prime a carto (my technique is install carto, fill up tank, plug airflow hole, and suck on the drip tip) but I want something a bit easier for my wife, she hates changing cartos.

These have been out for awhile now. If they worked well, people would be posting often about them... Great idea tho.

Expensive also.

Fair enough, they are a bit more expensive than a carto, but supposedly they offer a week or 2 more out of the same atty. With all of the focus on rebuildables and bdc's you would think some of the other carto MFG's would have gotten on to something like this as well. I guess I will have to try them out and see for my self!

Nope, no option to edit my own post. Even at the bottom of the forum where it lists your permissions, it says

I have not tried these but they are very similar to the Phoenix Raven cartos that Got Vapes sells. I got a Phoenix tank from them a while back and it was hit or miss. More hit than miss, overall pretty good for a week or so anyway. Then suddenly all I got was burnt taste.

Ordered another tank set up and some replacement cartos cause I saw a review saying they had been updated. The new batch... only burnt taste, no hit all miss.

I may be doing something completely wrong though. I fill the tank take dry drags (no firing the button) and let it sit a while to hopefully wick, same as first that worked decently well, but result is not the same. Then again they changed something about them and I changed nothing about how I tried to use them.

Just my experience.
