I love the vape I get with the Reomizer, but just for the heck of it I wanted to try a Boge on my VV Grand.
After just a couple squeezes, the drip well was overflowing, and juice was running everywhere. I "squanked" the same as I do with the Reomizer.
What did I do wrong? ....and before you ask, yes the carto was tight.

Since I don't know how you squonk, I have to ask, Did you try a "blind squonk"? Press on the bottle as you draw from the carto without firing the REO? I never had problems when I did this with cartos, it draws the juice up into the carto. With a carto, you shouldn't see juice in the catch cup at all unless the carto is dying or faulty.

+1 on the blind squonk. It is the best, most fool proof way to keep a carto in its optimum. It was fairly common for me to oversquonk (flood) em before I learned that method :)

I never had a juicy cup with cartos either. There may be an issue with the one your running. The 1.7 ohm shorties that Rob sells were the best for me when I used cartos.

This is my theory..theory only. Since you were using an RM2 before you're used to giving it a big squonk. THe RM2 is almost impossible to flood as the juice drains back in. Cartos are much smaller so they would need a smaller press. Until the carto filling gets wet it may resist taking juice as much as when its wet. You can look down inside the catchcup while you squonk and when you see the juice start coming out from around the carto stop, then drawn on the tip without firing the Reo. Do this a few times to get the carto primed with some juice.

Another method is to blind squonk. Squeeze the bottle while drawing on the tip without firing the Reo. When you feel a slight resistance or hear a gurgle stop the squonk and continue to draw just a bit. Now take your hit. After everything is juiced up you'll not have to squonk very often with a carto.

I think you probably just give it a too fast and too hard of a squeeze. Squonking RMAs and cartos are different. It all becomes second nature pretty fast.

Thanks for the suggestions. If I try the Boges again, I will remember to "blind squonk". Right now
my Reomizer is working so well I don't see the need to change!

Once you use a Reomizer, it's really hard to go back to anything. I almost forgot how to vape on a REO with a carto or a regular atty. I set a couple of family members up with REOs, but I wanted to ease them into it, so I started them on cartos (instead of Reomizers.) I had a little trouble even explaining to them how to do it.

Please say it isn't so! I am waiting on my Reomizer but plan on using it on one of my Grands and Boges on the others.

Not being one to be caught short, when I was using atty's, I stocked up *hangs head in shame* a bit TOO much. That was all well and good while I played with some other RBA's, but when I got the RM2, it changed EVERYTHING.

A few weeks after my assimilation into RM2land, I put one of my attys back on while I was rebuilding the coil/wick. It was pathetic. Weak vapor, weak flavor. I chalked it up to a bad atty (it happens), but have since tried it again 2 or 3 times and results always the same. Once you've used the RM2, you get spoiled. I shudder at the thought of ever having to use the 50 or so disposable attys I have stashed away for an emergency. The sad part is they're genuine Joye attys, not at all shabby, but they just can't measure up to the RM2.

I'd advise you to start thinking about ordering a 2nd RM2 (or more), you're gonna get spoiled. By the way, I used to order my attys in bulk, and got them for less than $5 each. A good price, unless you consider I can make a new wick/coil for about 3 cents, that lasts me a month, on the RM2.

+1^^^ Nothing will satisfy once you've gone rebuildable....specifically RM2 (my favorite.) I thought I'd just "try" the whole RBA thing....maybe if I could catch on to wrapping coils, I'd put one on one of my REOs. Well.......hahahahahaha......now I can't even IMAGINE using anything but a rebuildable.....ever again. The vape will be soooooo much better that you'll probably never be able to go back. Really. Sorry to burst your bubble.
