Keep us posted Rick. This looks very useful. I been using a very sharp drill bit and a hammer:p. seems to work ok but I always wreck 1 out of 5 cartos:p

I've been using a deck screw that is very pointy with tape around the threads for comfort with a hammer to punch holes in my Boges and it works but when I saw this, I had to try it.

pretty simple device, no reason why it shouldn't work. Threads look a little coarse so may require a bit more effort than a saddle valve. This style saddle valve works really well right out of the box ...

I just use a dremel when I do my cartos. I'm too worried about deforming the carto some to bother punching them.

I used to only use a dremel to cut cartos when I first used tanks. Then I tried punching holes with a sharp nail and then the deck Screws. I have never deformed a carto once. Its just faster and easier to punch holes instead of cuts with the dremel. With the dremel, I was damaging the orings from the rough cuts. I was also afraid of the tiny pieces of metal shavings getting in the carto from using the dremel. Just my opinion and suggestion that punching holes is better.

You can pull the tubes off most cartomizers on an eGo battery by wiggling it back and forth then slot them..at least with CE2's (CE2's need a top and bottom slot/hole) and the DC cartos for sure..if you're worried about sharp edges you could smooth them out with a sander, polishing or stone bit.

Wash the tube "press" (a bench vise works good for this just be careful not to crank it too hard and you might need to pull the center pin back out a little after) it back on..I can push them back onto the insides with an eGo battery wiggling back and forth as I push it on until it's seated. Plus I just reuse the tubes and just replace the insides at least until the tube wears or cracks.
