I have had mixed results with cleaning a carto. Most of the time I just can't completely get the old flavor out of them. So what I do is if the carto is still good I clean it as best I can and only use it with a flavor of juice that works well with whatever I just cleaned out.
SO for example if I was vaping banana I would clean the carto then only use it with a complimenting flavor like maybe strawberry.
Yes some juices usually dark and cinnamon, cherry coke favored and similar strong citrus juices will stay in your carto. if you have an additional tank use similar flavors in the same carto.
Some people boil them, personally I just toss them. They're like $2 for a new one and compared to $6 bucks for smoke if I get a week out of a carto I call it good But ya can youtube carto cleaning methods if you'd like.
I use the same carto on a carto tank. It doesn't take long for the new flavor to come through. I wouldn't do a fruit after a coffee but generally you are safe.
Mixing and matching is half the fun, for me at least. I frequently just throw a new flavor into a carto tank when the tank is halfway full.
I recently made a fantastic discovery regarding AiV 'Twas Brillig and A Quiet Morning. Apparently, when the two combine, they form something similar to god.
I would just use a new one for a different juice. I have tried adding other juices (when I first started using cartos ) and found out that some flavors just stick. That's why I'm looking into a RBA
You /could/ try cleaning the carto in theory, but I find it's just better to use a new one.
If you have a carto tank, you can get them (even dual coils) dirt cheap. I think I purchased 25 (2.5 ohms) for $35. And, in case you didn't know, 2.5 ohms should sate all but the die hard vapers (like the vapers that used to straight-inhale Marlboro Red 100s).
I started a month ago and only had two cartos but 6 flavours, i really enjoyed mixing flavours like chocolate with coke and pumpkin spice, things i would never eat together vape well for me. if jones cola made this flavor i would try it.
