The Safe Vaping Chart I use tops out the green zone at 8.49.

Yes, the green range on your chart is probably 4.0-8.5, the average of which is 6.25. Nine is just outside that range, but that seems to be the "sweet spot" for most. Why isn't 9.0 in the middle of the green instead of outside the upper limit? This is my question.

I don't think you'll get a concrete, definite answer, Starik. Everybody's vape is different. I wish I could help answer your questions. I appreciate them.

And I appreciate you trying to help. I realize this isn't a big deal, and that once I get my PV's I'll just find what works for me and not worry about any charts. I'm just .... about things like this, and there's a big discrepancy between the "recommended" starting point for finding the sweet spot and the point that people seem to land on. If I were making a chart, I'd want those to line right up. What am I missing here?

Sorry if I've hijacked this thread. I can start a new one if need be.

Quick question for all you tank carto Jedis, padawons and even Jedi Counsel members: is it ok to rip on a cart in a dry tank to try and get some of the flavor out before switching liquid?

In my experience, a carto is a one shot deal. You prime it, you vape it, it's done. You toss it.

Some people boil their's (no way am I doing that, heating up Ramen noodles pisses me off enough). I'm not in that camp. So, sadly, I cannot offer you correct advice. Good luck, though.

One thing I have learned, you can vape pre-punched cartos (laser or human-created) by themselves in a pinch. Electrical tape works awesome.

I use my boge lr carto's, for like a week or something like that, then im beginning to taste the flavor decreases. Then i just toss it.

The chart says it's to not kill equipment. That's about the best answer. Plus as far as I know, somebody made up that chart so we don't have to live our lives on the ohms law calculator site, so it was most likely based on his or her opinion.

So most people are pushing their cartos/atties just a bit beyond the safe zone to achieve their preferred vape? This makes sense.

Edit: not being sarcastic

love my grommet tank from high desert vapes. good looking, easy to use and setup, does not interfere with the taste of the juice until the carto is near death.

Richmond, Va...Right in Altria's back yard.
I have an issue with glass. I've, ahem, uh, had several devices made from blown glass, and as soon as they hit cement after leaving my lap, crash, they dead. Broke. I don't wish to repeat these incidents. How strong is the glass at those custom tank websites?

Phiniac has a stress test video.....BIG difference between glass and pyrex. I've dropped mine from 5 feet onto concrete and not even a chip.
