Stainless Steel Update: The correct size of pipe just arrived in all colors....finally! So it looks like the Cartomator SS will be at Nhaler by Saturday afternoon :) I don't think any gold or orange SS tanks will ship this week unless someone specifically lets me know that they gotta have one of those colors. That allows me to ship more Charcoal Grey, which I think is going to be really popular.

Any chance there will be a green in that SS batch? I was just about to order a green delrin one, but will hold off because I'd much rather have SS (as long as it's green)!

Forgive me if this has already been covered, but I have a quick question.

Looking at getting one of the Cartomator tanks, and I have a bunch of regular Boge carto's lying around.

I'll order a pre-drilled one with the cartomator, but if I want do DIY my own, do i have to unwrap the black label from the cartomizer?

I have boge 3.0's and it appears the only thing making them black in color is a "sticker" wrapped around the cartomizer itself.

I dont know if i should remove the sticker/label to prevent anything leeching into my juice when I put the tank on. I'm watching the DIY overview vid on youtube right now, and every carto i've seen so far is stainless in color (has no black label)

EDIT: showing my n00b status here-- I didn't even realize stainless boge's were available normally. wonder if I could just take the sticker off mine and use them?

Peel off the sticker and clean the glue off with alcohol. I use a razor blade to scrape it off as well. You will then need to make either a slot or hole at the appropriate height. I make one hole on each side about 12mm from the base (not including the threads). This can be done with either a dremel and cutting blade or a sharp nail and hammer.

I am considering buying a Cartomator to use with dual coils. I have a DCT Map tank but have flooding issues with it off and on. I am using 25% VG/75% PG in my juices. I want to HONESTLY if anyone is having issues with this happening with Dual coils and the Cartomator. I do NOT want to purchase one and have the same issues I have been having. Thanks

Tanks don't leak, cartomizers do. Dual Coils are prone to leaking. If you have a leaky carto, it will leak in any tank. I've never had a leak using a Boge carto.
