I still prefer to use dual coil carto's on my provari, 1.5's work awesome at 3.8v, 2's I can set up to 4.5 to 4.8v and I've seen 2.5 and 3ohm dc's too but havent tried them yet.. right now using a 3 ohm SC Boge in my SS cartomator and once that needs cleaning, I have a 2ohm DC waiting to take it's place, already slotted....

Yes ime and Krisb, that Provari Pic makes that SS tank look beautiful.
ime WOW the first tank a Darwin that impressive. Took me many mods to get to it. I am trying the Triple Coil, so its going to be a new Cart for me. Anyone tried the Triple Coil Carto yet?

Cuse or Drew, are there any plans to sell replacement tubes eventually?

My first cartomator is spider-webbed pretty badly. It doesn't leak yet, though, and it still feels pretty sturdy. Cracks aren't visible on the outside, I don't think they go all the way through, yet. I only just noticed this while I was cleaning it out to change flavor and swap out the cartomizer. I couldn't get it to show in a pic since it's the black cherry and needs to be pretty well backlit to see

Probably my own fault, too. I know cinnamon is a no-no for polycarbonate, but I wasn't thinking about citrus and I've run close to 20ml of Lime flavored juice through it since I last cleaned it out

We definitely have to figure something out on replacement tubes. The problem is that the color polycarbonate is ridiculously expensive and paying $8-9 for a small plastic tube, no matter how cool looking, is not terribly appealing. We could offer standard clear polycarbonate replacements for about $4 like everyone else is doing.

OK, since I messed up and did not create a dedicated contest thread to start out, here's what we will do. I will take any of the numbers posted here and count them. If you wish to report a new number in the new thread, that is the number that will be assigned to you and this thread # won't count. If someone took your number from here into the new thread, you can either pick another number in the new thread or keep it and I will honor it as a co-winner and award 2 tanks for that number. No one gets DQ'd for honest play!

Well, CG, you wanted pics. Here's the whole happy cartomator family

I threw the older cartomator on one of my Screwdrivers just so it wouldn't be device-less. Wouldn't want it to feel left out, now would we? :p

I have also burned a carto.

Now I fill the new Boge 3 ohm standard carto as normal with about 18 drops. Then I install it in the VPX. I've also noticed with some liquids that the carto will start to dry out even with a full tank. I have to give it hard priming pulls between vaping draws to keep the fluid feeding into the carto. I can see bubbles rise from the hole when I do this.

I received my new tank yesterday - I bought the SS/Blue and it looks awesome. A quick question though - does anyone have a preferred tool or method to open up the tank? I don't want to scratch the caps but I am finding it very difficult to open either side.

You really don't need to pull the caps except for the occasional cleaning and even for mild cleaning....I am lazy and slide the carto out and run warm tap water right through it. I only take the caps off when I am changing flavors or every couple of weeks as needed for a thorough cleaning.

For filling, 1)unscrew the tank from the device 2)Hold the threaded connector side upward 3)push on the 510 threads with your thumb, pushing the carto inside the tank. 4)Now pull the carto out even further from the mouthpiece side about halfway out 4)you now have an open cap to fill juice 5) Fill off to the side, along the walls of the tank if possible/ You can fill it almost to 100% if you want 6) With thumb and index finger, guide the carto back through the open 0-ring in a slight spinning motion, keeping the open side of the tank upward. 7)Wipe off the cap of any excess juice.
You will eventually get so good at this, you can do it one-handed while driving (oops, no you shouldn't do that..lol And I never do that!)
Ok, now I see the video links were posted!

The caps are generally very tight. I use the cartomizer to get them started enough that I can get a fingernail underneath it. Push the carto up out of the lower cap and then put the shoulder of the carto against the inner edge of the cap and push (don't use the connector to push with, you could damage the carto), just a little bit, swapping back and forth between sides until I've got it started enough.

No real need to fully disassemble, anyway. Cleaning is usually effective enough simply by removing the carto and flushing with hot water ;-) I haven't actually disassembled my SS ones, yet. No need since I've only filled them up once each so far

EDIT: ugh, long day, I'm typing too slow :p
