The threads on the blanks I bought don't match up with the battery threads. Has anyone else noticed this? They screw on,but are loose, and the cartomizer is out of whack unless you tighten the hell out of it. At this point air flow is a problem. This completely bums me out because I bought a dozen boxes. This problem should of been caught before they were sold to me. These are the older style cartomizers in red, green, and yellow.

Well there is only a handful of people working with Steve, they cant test every batt and every carto. theres like 16 people with V4L and they are all wonderful, Id try to talk to val or mark (id email val 1st but give her a hour or 2 to answer she has 2 24 hour shifts) but yeah they will help you out.

This isn't one or two blanks....It's all 60 of them.

I just received two boxes of the original blanks (one green, one brown) and have the same issue with the threads not being quite right; but I also noticed the labels are blocking the air vents. When i first put them on a battery and checked for air flow I had none when tightened beyond the wobble point (mine are dry ... and checked on a manual batt so I didn't burn it up)

Wingedwheel: check your labels and see if they are blocking the vents...this happens from time to time....You can trim them with an xacto-knife if they are and restore airflow (or just rub the vents open with your fingernail ...that works too)

I think mine will be fine if I trim the labels...they don't fit perfect but they do tighten up .. its not the first time I have notice the thread variation ...but it is the first time I had both the thread and label issues together.

Hope this helps

Thanks for the reply. I've come to expect labels blocking the notches on a few cartos here and there....not a big deal. The thread variation doesn't live up to V4L standards IMO,and should be addressed. I'll be sending carts back for inspection so hopefully we can eliminate the wobble.

Yes...Guess it would be a pain to deal with that many cartos having a problem ... Wonder if its a whole batch ... I think I can deal with mine..but would be good to know what happened and that it will be corrected ...Im sure they will take care of you... follow up on here if you can ....thanks

As these are all machined by hand, and I am assuming it's all the same batch, the tap that was used was most likely worn out, or full of shavings, and ate the threads out. I've worked with Leaford on similar issues when he was in China. It's just simply a quality control issue!
While at this moment, it sucks to be you, rest assured they will correct this and make it more than right with you!
No disrespect meant to the V4L team, but again, this is another sign of the "growing pains" that are to come. But it sure is comforting knowing they will stand behind them at the end of the day!

Are you on a regular battery or using an adapter?

I had an adapter that wouldn't work with most of my cartos - later I figured out that it was because of a self adjusting connector in the adapter - it would work great if I screwed the carto on the adapter and then to my mod - but not if I put the adapter on the mod before attaching a carto.

Otherwise, I've never experienced this with my blanks or pre-filled cartos.
