I need some Cartomizer advice. I'm trying to decide between two IKV cartos.
801 fusion lr or IKV 510 Clear XLR 1.6/w adapter. They will go on a joye stick. Joye's adapter has a resistor in it...I don't know why they insist on throttling everything they make.

I also have eGo batteries and a 510, 3.7 volt box mod all with boge lr—I like that set-up. I wish they held more juice though. I have to top it off to often. Also Boge LRs aren't all 2.0. I can tell the difference. They also crackle and i have to plug a hole to get the draw I like. It's been worth it though. If I keep them topped off they last weeks and I love the flavor and hit.

So my questions are...
Do I get the 801 fusion lr for the Jstick (the 302 atty is horrible) and continue with the boge on my other devices?
or do I try the 1.6 on all devices?
How much liquid do they hold? Ideal for me is 1.5 to 2ml

I'm hoping the 1.6 is my solution to all.

I have not found better flavor than what I get with the LR Fusions @ 3.7 volts. Much better than dual coil cartos, Boge LR cartos, and even the atty's I've tried (though I may not have been using the attys correctly), and many other.

My only problem with them is they could really use a tank, but this is true with all cartos.

You really should try both because everybody has different tastes.

I've used the Fusions exclusively at one point, they're a great cartomizer. I've actually just ordered 5 of the single coil 1.6s after seeing this thread, because they do look very nice and have heard great things. They better work on my Provari though, genenerally things under 1.5 ohms don't work so hopefully 1.6 is accurate.

The vertical heating coil design for even heat distribution, coupled with the clear plastic for eying the juice levels, makes this look like a nice cartomizer...I expect them to work very nicely, and I haven't been a carto guy since I discovered the IKV 306.

Wow, a lot of great advice. Thank you all. I've placed an order for 5 of the 1.6s and 2 lr fusions for the 801. I've got a hunch on these 1.6's. Some of you have confirmed my thought that a single coil will be burn warmer than a dual coil at the same resistance. I'm really not sure if the 1.6 is a hcoil or vertical. The data on them is sketchy.

I've been on the hcoil band wagon for a while, but when I switched to Boge lrs, I found them to be a better vape. Could just be the resistance. 1.5ml is the perfect size for me. I don't want to waste juice when they go out nor do I want to lose too much juice trying them out. The clear part is a bonus.

All of this is based on 3.4 to 3.7 volts. If I had an HV device I would probably get the DC. I know I would like HV better but don't intend on going there. I've shelled out too much already. An HV bottom feeder like the VMOD (have you seen these? wow) would be great but a marriage counselor would be expensive. :)

The flavor on the LR Fusions should blow you away, but I'd be interested to hear a comparison from you between the 510 Clear XLR 1.6 (are those based on SmokTech?).

Got them today, loaded them up and tried them out. I got Fusion LR and 1.6 XLR single coil. They both vape extremely well. I am a convert.

The 1.6 went on a 3.7v inexpensive box mod. It replaced a Boge LR 2. It's a substantial improvement over the Boge. It's a lot like the Boge in that it has a single not DC with the wire running up the tube and the draw is similar. That's where the similarity ends. The 1.6 is clear, about 1/4" longer, and gives a much better, warmer hit. It's like a Boge on steroids. I don't yet know how long it will go on my single 14500 battery. I'll report later on longevity and juice consumption. It's the best thing I've vaped so far. INMO 4.2 volts on this would yield vaping nirvana.

The Fusion 801 LR went on my Joye stick v3. Stunning difference. If you own a Joye stick, get this carto. It literally blows away the 302 atty. It too is similar to a Boge LR (2ohm) In construction. They perform better for me than the Boge but not as much better as the 1.6. It’s a perfect match for the Joye Stick. It’s short on the stick… just a little nub sticks out but a 901 whistle tip took care of that.. That’s exactly what I wanted.

Bottom line between fusion and 1.6 XLR is: if your battery can handle it, the 1.6 is a better bet. I’ll be using them on my ego Batteries too. I may even use them on the Stick, but I think it may be too hard on the 10440 battery.

One more note: They both make a crackling noise. Not bad, but the J stick acts like an echo chamber.

Ok, it's been close to a week. I'm still using the cartos I started with. Neither shows any signs of deterioration. The fusion got a little better. the xlr did too but seems to have condensation issues. Maybe it's just because I can see it through the clear sides.

The fusion is smoother and has better flavor, the xlr hits harder for sure. I like the size of the xlr. It holds about twice what the fusion holds. The xlr has become noisier and the fusion quieter. I like them both. If I had to give one up: The fusion. The xlr is a good bet. I recommend them.

It's now been two weeks: I am still impressed with the fusion. I really like this cartomizer. It will be a mainstay for me.
The clear 1.6 is a different story though. At first I was really impressed with these. The problem is after a week, they start losing flavor. Three of the 5 I ordered developed cracks where they mount and two completely detached from the threaded part. When I took them apart, they appeared burnt around the wicking part that wraps the coil. Too bad because the first week they really kick .....

I've ordered more fusions and also some platinum LR's (IKV told me they were very much like the fusion only with 510 threads). I'm also going to try the gold 510 LR which is a horizontal coil.

Search is over. I really like the fusions. I like the platinum LR even better. I'm guessing they're the same thing with different threading. My wife likes them best too so it's a done deal. I like the supplier as well.

I didn't make a fair comparison between the platinum and fusion because I've been using the fusion for 12 days while the platinum is fresh. Both are better than anything I've tried...for my personal tastes. The fusionLR is great on a joye stick w/ no adapter necessary. The platinumLR is a perfect match for My eGo 650 and 3.7 box. I can hit the platinum hard 4 times before it needs a recovery.

The filler material is densely packed...I like that. A little slower to top fill first time, but better for refilling and dispensing. I don't know this for sure, but it seems that condensation is a real issue on cartomizers. I've been using ikv's aluminum drip tip and it seems to help. I think it works sort of like a heat-sink.

flavor=10, th=8, build=10, juice consumption not bad at all.

The gold LR's were too hot for me. 1 draw and it was hot to the touch.

My final note on this: GOOD BYE BOGE LR, I've found another. Thanks, it was a meaningful relationship and there will always be a special place for you in my heart :)
